So I ordered probably the most basic thing ever off of the menu (hot and sour soup and chicken lo mein) and both were absolutely fantastic. I could not believe how large the portions were for the price. Less than 7 bucks for an entire giant container of the soup and while the take out box filled with noodles looked small, it was absolutely PACKED with multiple portions of noodles and soooo much chicken. I've never received so much meat with chicken lo mein! You always have to pay for extra protein if you want even half that amount.
The soup was one of the best soups I've ever had, and I am a big soup person. It was jam packed with veggies that were the perfect consistency and tender tofu. The heat level was fantastic.. a good heat that keeps you wanting to continue scarfing it down. The lo mein was also amazing. The noodles have a perfect bite and are thick and feel and taste fresh and handmade. Authentic wok hei flavor. Perfectly cooked veggies. As I said above, the amount of chicken for only $12 in this economy is unbelievable. It was so tender and juicy. They also sent two complimentary bags of fried wonton strips which I couldn't put down.
I ordered carry out through door dash around 9pm and everything arrived piping hot, clean, fresh, and is still super warm even hours later. I absolutely will be back to try something new. So happy with my meal and leftovers for probably days. 20 bucks for so much good. As a small business owner who has been hit by covid, I truly appreciate you! Thank...
Read moreLast time I went there, service was quick, the food was delicious, and it was my favorite Chinese food place in Columbia. This time, not so much. I ordered online and noticed that when I pulled up, there was a sign out front that said "Grand ReOpening". I hadn't been aware that they had closed for awhile, but this reopening has actually made everything worse. The service was horrible. The lady at the front counter was on the phone the entire time, talking very loudly about how someone had put in a delivery order an hour before they closed. When I got back to the office, the eggroll and beef sticks were hard and dry and the chicken wasn't fully cooked. I don't know if this was an off day ro what, because I know they do have good food, but it's bad enough that I will be taking my business elsewhere. They need a...
Read moreThis place was a disappointment, from service to food. When I arrived, an older caucasian man came to take my order. He barely spoke to me and was abrupt and irritated when I asked for tea. He also wore a sweater covered in food stains and spent his time snapping green peas between handling cash and carry-out orders. Zero hand-washing. The decor is unmemorable and a bit musty. The food was awful...wonton soup was oily and had broccoli(?!), the egg roll tasted fishy from old shrimp, and the steamed dumplings were gummy and greasy w/mystery meatballs inside. I didn't order anything else and couldn't finish what I did order. The one saving grace was the Asian woman who checked on me. She was sweet and pleasant; I hate to drive business away from her place with a negative review, but seriously, this...
