I am utterly heartbroken by tonight's horrible and unforgettable experience at PLNT Burger. Let me first say that I am an African American male and professional who has highly recommended this establishment to scores of colleagues, friends and family members who are vegan or just aspire to adopt a healthier diet. Tonight, I arrived about 40 minutes before closure and was told that they were shutting down the kitchen early and not taking any more orders. Despite my pleas to take one additional order and explanation of the extensive distance I traveled to get there, I was turned away. Approximately 5 minutes later, I observed from a distance another customer having her order taken. I promptly complained to the manager who explained that it was to her discretion to take additional orders after turning me away. She acknowledged her wrongdoing and allowed me to order this time around, but stated that I could not order a shake to go with my meal because the machine was shut down. While waiting for my meal to be prepared, I observed an employee making two shakes for another customer. At this point, I insisted that the manager cancel my order and return my money. It literally took her about 15 minutes to complete this request because she was not aware of the proper protocol for refunding purchases made by credit card. By the way, she surprisingly admitted this and literally called her superior about 3 times to get consultation on this matter. At the end, I was issued a refund with no apology or other gestures of contrition. Incompetence is one thing but bigotry, unfairness and indifference towards your customer is another. I love the food at this establishment, but it is not worth my dignity. I will never patronize it again and instead spend my money somewhere I feel valued, respected and...
Read moreSAVE YOUR MONEY!!! The company clearly lacks in customer service, has very rude staff, and absent of any professionalism. On Jan 25 at approximately 1059am I placed an order for one dbl cheeseburger and one single burger. The cashier informed me the order would be ready approx. 10 min. I continued my shopping in Wholefoods and retuned 15 minutes later to find out my order was not even on the grill. The cooks continued to clean the grills and prep other equipment for the foods. Not one of the three staff members made a mention to me or the other waiting customer about the delay of our order. I continued to wait another 15 minutes and to no avail, no cheeseburgers. At this time I voiced my concern as well as the other customer, about the amount of time to cook two burgers. In unison the staff began to speak to each other in Spanish in a tone which implied some type of negative response to our questions about our order. The member at the register had the audacity to become upset with us and said the grill was not functioning. This is actually 25min after placing the order, not one mention of that prior. I proceeded to Wholefoods Customer Service desk for assistance from the store manager. Since PLNT is a vendor there was really no resolution to my/our problem. Upon returning I received my order (35 mins later) and received burnt burgers!!!!! I think it’s time for Wholefoods to find another vendor. If they don’t appreciate the customers then what in the heck are they there for?!!!!!! I will never eat at that place again and will be sharing this experience...
Read moreI wrote a review on the Whole Foods page but realized I probably should have posted it here. Reposting to make sure it gets to the right people.
Very pleasant experience shopping in Whole Foods aside from the PLNT burger counter. The young hispanic girl at the cash register did not acknowledge me despite making eye contact and I standing there for nearly 5 minutes. Once she got around to me, she just stood there and did not even bother to greet me (which is generally standard in any establishment where people are being served). After that, I decided that my patronage was not wanted nor deserved and said, "actually nevermind, thank you". She returned that with a sarcastic laugh and nothing more, so I gladly took my money elsewhere (Shake Shack, across the street - their mushroom burger is great and they greet you with both a smile and basic manners).
I would like to say this is the first time I had poor customer service here, but it's not. However, I will say it's the last as I will no longer be spending a penny at this establishment. I advise that the owners make a better choice as to who they allow to be the face of their company. As for the cashier at PLNT, I would recommend a simple "hello, I'll be right with you" or "how may I help you today?". A little kindness goes a...
