I hate to do this to a new restaurant but you’ve got to have your ducks in a row by opening night. We placed an order over the phone for 5 entrees for 5 people. They assured us all food was in the bags. We got back and they were missing an order of quesadillas. This was a big inconvenience since we drove to pick up the food and came back home before realizing they were in fact missing an order.
So we drove back to the restaurant and told them they were missing an order of quesadillas. They ended up giving us our order but it was actually their version of the “Mexican pizza.” Their Mexican pizza makes no sense, since it’s just two large flour tortillas full of fajitas and beans, essentially a fajita quesadilla.
However, there was no cheese on the Mexican pizza. Another person in our group ordered a Mexican pizza as well and it was the same, no cheese on top. The menu clearly states there is cheese on top. Another person from our group ordered a burrito which had no sauce, cheese, shredded cheese or anything on top despite the menu stating there would be cheese. I’m not sure if they ran out of cheese, but cheese was missing from three of the orders including an entire order missing.
On top of that, the food is incredibly bland and basic. If you’re going to mess up the orders at least make sure the food was good. We also explicitly stated we wanted bags of chips and salsa and they only provided one small container of salsa for 5 people. All of us were disappointed and...
Read moreEvery time we order food to-go or dine in, we have the BEST food. It’s our favorite place to eat. HOWEVER, every time I call to place our order, my husband gets the same meal “Arroz Pollo” and every time I call in the order I speak to the same man and EVERY TIME without fail he asks me “arroz pollo or arroz chicken?” I’m sitting here thinking I’ve said something wrong even though I’m reading off of their menu when I call every time. I tell him “isn’t pollo chicken?” He will either respond by laughing and saying “haha okay” or “so you want pollo not chicken?” It’s not a language barrier, I think it’s him simply just wanting to make things difficult or maybe make fun of my pronunciation. This time I called and he said the same “arroz pollo or arroz chicken?” To which I replied “pollo is chicken, isn’t it?” He replies “so you want pollo, not chicken?” And I said “no. The menu says arroz pollo is grilled chicken.” And per usual he laughs and says “okay okay I got it” as if I was being rude. It’s just annoying. We love the food, just stop being patronizing on the...
Read moreReview time! Context, I thought the place closed at 9:30 and got here at 8:50 and saw it closed at 9. We got our food to-go.
Great impression upon stepping in. Decor is on-point and the bathroom is huge lol
Ordered a BYO combo with an enchilada with green sauce, beef taco, and tamal. Somehow came to be 14.30 when the menu states 10.99 with tax. Not sure what caused the disconnect there. Left a reasonable tip, since the fella up front was kind enough to take our order.
Food was a let-down. Taco Bell serves more full tacos for the price that you pay. The taco was not filled anywhere near the edge of the tortilla. I got barely any green salsa on my enchilada, and what I did get tasted kinda sad. The tamal was more masa than meat, leaving a sad cross-section. Rice and beans are kinda hard to mess up, and while the flavor was there, they weren't exactly hot.
Overall, this place will get a second chance, but the food had better not be such a terrible show...
