This place is awesome! Stopped in last Sunday for a cold drink and we were instantly welcomed by the owners, Tom and his wife Patty. I explained to Tom that we had never been at his place before which immediately prompted him to start ringing a large ceiling mounted bell and announced to the bar that we were ā€œRebel-virginsā€. We were made to feel very welcomed by many of the regulars that were there. Tom showed us their outdoor space behind the building that has a tiki feel with misting fans and a large stage with an amazing country band playing that afternoon. Didn’t get a chance to try any of the food that day, but returned 2 days later for lunch with my daughter. Same experience, Tom and Patty were there, super friendly and engaging. We tried the Mule Balls that I had heard so much about on Sunday and was not disappointed , they were delicious! My daughter had a burger, which said was one of the best she’s ever had, I had the Killer Club, which was equally delicious. Unfortunately for me I live in Boston or I’d be a regular very quickly. My daughter moved to Columbia last year and has promised that she’s bringing her husband there very soon. All I know is that whenever I come to visit TN, I’m always going to make time to stop in and see Tom and Patty at The Rebel.

We recently moved to the Columbia area and have found our drinking hole! The Rebel is essentially a dive bar (I guess) BUT the cleanest one you will ever step foot in! Everyone is so friendly and will know your name! (Sound familiar) CHEERS šŸ» The owners Tom and Patty are so kind and truly care about their patrons. The bartenders Debbie and Terry are FABULOUS as well. Food is amazing …you must try the fried bologna (trust me)! You may even spot ā€œRebelā€ the bar cat when you visit. Tell them Dave and TinašŸ’Ÿ sent ya

This is the best bar in the area for miles around. If you get a chance stop in and eat. The Mule Balls are outstanding as well as the owners couldn't be any nicer if they tried. Great place for a drink of any kind...... you have to say hi to Rebel the cat. It really has great music as well

If you haven't already done so, go see this place AND the new owners Patty and Tom. Please, do yourselves a favor and ask for their signature menu item...the FAMOUS meatballs, aka "mule balls" I swear, you will NOT be disappointed and you will go back. Just like we have, 3 times already. Gahhh they are THAT good! Beer always good and cold, the new atmosphere is so much more relaxing with a "loungey" feel and not just a bar. Just GO and see for yourself, you won't be...
