I've been needing good Mediterranean since International Cafe closed and this has filled in nicely. The decor and ambience is much nicer than I expected from the location and the waitstaff was kind, but didn't hover so the vibe is very relaxed. Lentil soup was mild, but tasty which I appreciate- comforting and easy on my sensitive stomach. Baba ghanoush was absolutely splendid- smoky and complex and it came with housemade(?) pita that delivered everything I'd expect with some rustic flair. I split a kebab sampler "Mixed The Syrian Kitchen" entree with my dining companion and there was more spiced rice than we could finish. Chicken was a touch dry but good, lamb was gamey and excellent, kofta was a good standard. I loved that the pita with the entree was toasted. We finished with an inexpensive small wedge of baklava that was not overly sweet or greasy, but still plenty rich. Next time I'll ask for tzatziki instead of tahini sauce with the entree, but otherwise I was so pleased. Highly recommend especially if you love global cuisine and like things spiced but...
Read moreEmbarking on a culinary journey at this establishment left me with mixed emotions. While the experience was by no means bad, every aspect fell into the category of "fine."
The cuisine, while satisfactory, didn't manage to transcend into the realm of greatness. The flavors, though present, lacked that exceptional touch that I've encountered in many similar establishments. The dishes were fine, the atmosphere was fine, and the service was, you guessed it, fine.

It wasn't a regrettable experience; it just didn't leave a lasting impression. Reflecting on past culinary escapades, a subtle sense of nostalgia and longing for a more remarkable encounter lingered in my heart as I departed from...
Read moreDecore struck me as an Asian cusine restaurant that went of business and this establishment simply changed the name, moved in and off ya go! Re-purposing aside, the waiter did not know the menu selections. When we asked about the sauce he said confidently "it's ketchup". Ok, moving on - no sauce. Moments later a young lady returned to verify our food selections only to confuse us more by stating that "he wrote your order wrong". After ordering again, when asked what are the salad dressing selections her reply was "I don't really know - I don't do this - I work the front". Ok, your being helpful I get it and its appreciated. She left and returned and her confirmation was "the dressing is white vinegar and balsamic- I think. At this point my wife pulls the plug not confident this experience was going to be successfully completed. Sweet kids, but they need some leadership and training. Can't rate...
