I have used this company multiple times for window tent and stereo installation over the years, probably bringing a dozen vehicles to them. I had always had good results with quality and craftsmanship until I paid them to install paint protection film on my new car.
After installation, they asked if I used an automatic car wash, to which I said yes, I used club car wash. They told me specifically to not have the high-pressure hoses any closer than 18 inches to the film. I agreed and notified the car wash of that. I had the car in for multiple washes over the first six months after installation. I had no issues until a month ago when I discovered a few bubbles and a small peel at one front wheel well.
I brought my car back in and after an installer checked it out, was told by Bianca that they would replace the film and she scheduled my appointment. By the time I had driven back to my office, I received a phone call from her telling me that Mark head rejected the repair based entirely on the fact that I had used an automatic car wash, without having even looked at the car. She offered to replace the defective film at a barely discounted rate. I told her I was not interested in that, and if they had a company policy to reject warranty claims based on use at an automatic car wash, then they should’ve told me that before I paid for the service because I likely would not have done so. I then sent an email describing my experience and have never heard from anyone at their company again. I don’t know how many thousands of dollars I spent there over the years, but this level of customer service does not deserve a repeat purchase and I will not ever go back. Beware of their commitment to customer service and warranty work if you use...
Read moreIn short, incorrectly installed tint, rude, unprofessional and a huge waste of money. Go elsewhere to get better care and application of tint film.
Long version: I was wanting tint put in a new to me car (2019). I called to get a price quote and information on the film they used. Very nice and polite on the phone so I decided to give them a shot, going against my horrible previous experience 10+ years ago. But hey, if they have stayed in business this long they have to be doing something right. Wrong. I show up for my appointment time and they are running late by over an hour. No call or text or anything to let me know. Which is fine, not ideal but fine. I wanted it done well and was willing to wait. They finish the install and immediately I said that the tint wasn’t what I thought it would be but brushed it off as my inexperience (I’ve had every car I’ve owned tinted). They filled out the warranty card incorrectly and refused to fix that, brushing it off as it will be fixed later and is correct in their system. I found shop supplies all over the back of my car including in the car seat. I wasn’t happy with the darkness so I called to see if we could fix it. They wanted to charge me to remove it and put new on. No discount. Fine they are in business so whatever. I called a competitor and they said they would take it off at no charge and re apply darker tint for their regular price. So I took it over to get a firm quote. They immediately asked what tint I had on so I told them and they said it didn’t look right. After looking at the car they found multiple windows that were incorrectly tinted and had bubbles. Skip this place and go somewhere else. Worst experience and completely disappointed in...
Read moreI have been going to Sound Performance for more than 5 years. I have had at least 5 vehicles tinted there. The first couple of tints were amazing! Quality was great and never had to take the vehicles back to get retinted. The past 2 or 3 vehicles I had tinted were not as great. There were air bubbles and after about a month I found dirt under the tint. They must not clean the windows as well. The quality is going down. I have also had at least 3 sounds systems installed there as well. The first one was great. It sounds amazing. I had one installed on a Jeep Wrangler and a GMC Sierra. The GMC Sierra sounded great the first month. After that I had to take it back and ask them to turn up the sub and make it louder for me. The Jeep Wrangler they charged around $1500 to do. They also ruined my back seat was well. They drilled a whole in the seat and the screw fell out. So they drilled again below it. The amplifier wasn't bolted correctly. Found screws on the driver floor mats. 5 years ago I would have recommended this place to everyone I know. Now, I would NOT recommend this place. They used to have amazing quality. Now their quality is going down the drain. I have had to take vehicles back to get worked on. I myself would rather have...
