I live in Columbus, Ohio. I love Amy’s Donuts. I really, really do. I feel very lucky to have the only Amy’s in Ohio! Every single employee that I’ve ever talked to has been very polite and extremely helpful! They have such a huge selection of donuts that there can’t be one person in the world who couldn’t find one they liked. They have traditional, like glazed, apple fritters, powdered, cake; specialty donuts with all colors of frosted with special holiday donuts, with all kinds of unique toppings like fruity pebbles, bacon with maple icing (yes, bacon!), marshmallows, bananas, sprinkles-the list is endless; and nice big, soft long johns (called “bars”) and round ones that can be filled with white cream, bavarian cream, strawberry, raspberry or lemon filling. They custom fill them when you order, so you can get as much or little as you like. They even have little bags of a dozen donut holes for only a dollar! Perfect for the little ones. They’re open 7 days a week, and only close for a few hours in the very, very late hour until 4 am in order to make more fresh ones. Right now, their dining room is only open for carry-out due to the pandemic, but their drive-through is always open and fast. The only complaint that I have is the cleanliness of the dining room and restroom. They need to hire someone who can cleanup in the middle of the day so it doesn’t look so messy-at least sweep the floor and wipe the cases off. Also, in the Spring I hope they freshen up the fence around the property with some new paint and redo the Simpson cartoon paintings, they’re really cute and add to the appeal of the place! Bottom dollar is, huge selection of freshly made donuts -from scratch- daily, at almost any hour of the day or night -for an unbelievable price -more than makes up for the fading paint. Feel free to tip the employees, which I know you’d love to do, because everyone needs a little extra help during this grim Coronavirus...
Read moreWe bought 2 dozen donuts for a birthday party. We went through the drive thru and to be completely honest the parking lot area looks a little run down. The grass was unkempt and the fence could do with a nice repainting.
Enough about the outside though, what you're really interested in is the donuts. I wish I had pictures of what I received because they looked almost identical to the pictures on the site, which was actually surprising to me. The donuts listed on the site look so perfect! We bought 24 different donuts cause we just had to try them all! From your basic glazed to the Elmo and Cookie Monster ones. Every one of them was fantastic and even held up alright for a few days in the fridge. Granted they got dry but that was expected.
On the day-of all of the donuts felt fresh-made and we so soft, it was magical. The flavors were on point and we couldn't have been any happier. Honestly one of the most surprising facts was the price! $40 for 2 dozen completely customized and fancy donuts seems like a steal.
Highly recommended, we'll definitely keep this place in mind...
Read moreHas great donuts. Unfortunately the staff that runs the drive thru DO NOT LISTEN to the customers. And you would think at 22 dollars a dozen they could at least get your order right! Do not go through the drive thru because the women that run the window will screw up your order… you can go thru and ask for 12 chocolate longs with Bavarian, or Custard, but it doesn’t matter what you ask for because they will think you don’t know what you’re talking about and give you cream filling. Their cream filling is too sweet and burns your throat/mouth. I repeat only go inside because apparently you will have to point to the custard/bavarian because they will not listen to you! This has happened so many times it’s not funny. BUYER BEWARE! Oh and they will take your name down and tell you they will make it right on your next order but when you go back, they will look at you like you’re trying g to steal donuts from them, only one time out of 6+ screw ups have they made it right, there is a larger framed guy with long hair that actually believed me, all the others treated me...
