Do yourself a favor and go to the Bob Evans in Canal Winchester.
We arrived and was seated when one server took our drink orders. Then a second server came to get our drink orders so we explained that someone had already done that. To which she replied "I know, I asked her to do that!" OK that's fine. Then the first server came by to get our order, turns out she was our server in the first place. I ordered the homestead breakfast, with sausage home fries and a side order of candied bacon and my girlfriend ordered the farmers breakfast with hasbrowns and bacon and a side of sausage gravy and biscuits. Our server then came by to clarify Wether my girlfriend wanted hotcakes, crepes, or French toast. Then again a 3rd time to do the same for my order even though I ordered something completely different. When we got our food I had noticed that they had brought out 2 of the same dishes. I decided it was fine and just went with it. But then I realized that my eggs, bacon (even though I ordered sausage) and potatoes were all extremely overcooked. I brought this to my servers attention and she removed my plate and brought it back with better looking eggs and bacon but the potatoes were still inedible. The manager had stopped by and our table to double check everything and made it known that he himself was the one preparing the plates. I was shocked that the only thing he said when I told him the potatoes were still overdone for the second time was "I've got some more in the back." When I ate what I could of my meal, our server did not come back to the table to give us our bill. So I walked up to the register where I was just told my total, and I had to ask for an itemized Bill to be sure that I was not being charged for the items I had not received. Only then did the manager mention any sort of compensation which was under $3.
Here's what you should do. Hop onto 33 and take the next exit to Canal Winchester. The Bob Evans is just off the exit. It's an extra 5 minutes of driving, but it will save you a lot of...
Read moreThere were not many customers. It took us about 15 minutes to be seated. Our waitress was great. We ordered our breakfast. I had sausage gravy and two biscuits. My husband ordered hashbrowns, scrambled eggs and biscuits. We waited for our food. At about 40 minutes I asked our waitress how much longer. She said it was the kitchen and the kitchen was arguing. She apologized. It would of been nice if she came and told us that there was a problem before we asked. We finally received our food. She did upgrade me to a bowl of sausage gravy. After she left our table I tried it. It was less then lukewarm, cold in some spots. There was another waitress eating behind the counter and a few around her laughing. I knew our waitress was very busy so I walked my bowl up to the counter. My waitress immediately took my bowl to warm up and again apologized. She returned to our table and said she got me a new bowl. She asked me to try it. It was a little warmer but not hot enough. She said she would take it back. I said we were in a hurry and I'll eat it. I told her the cooks need to temp their food to see if up to code. When we went to check out. The hostess asked us how was the food. We said not good. Husbands hash browns were greasy, and I repeated about my dish. She said well it was hot. The waitress must of waited too long to pick it up from the window. I said it happened twice. The hostess threw the waitress under the bus. We were not looking to get comped at all. All we wanted was for them to temp their food, check the temperatures and acknowledge that it was the kitchens problem. We will not go to this...
