My friends and I were on our way to Pittsburgh from Lexington KY, and made a pit stop here to get Malaysian food. Do not ever miss the Fried Flat Rice Noodles!!! (Or Char Kuey Teow as we call it in Malaysia). Kuey Teow’s typically need a good ratio of ingredients (bean sprouts, shrimp vegetables, soy sauce) to rice noodles, and this definitely had it. We were also given a spicy sauce to eat it with, absolutely delish. The owner was very friendly. Highly recommend if you’re a Malaysian/Singaporean looking for some good Char Kuey Teow!!

Sesame Chicken somehow had a carbon, burnt taste, while also being mushy and under-done. Found multiple bones in my boneless chicken. Egg roll had a very odd, bitter flavor. Sweet and sour sauce was almost flavorless, watery pink in color. By far the worst Chinese food I've ever ordered; an absolute joke.

I ordered General Tso’s, crab rangon, and chinese donuts for 16$ total. this place rocks. Great variety of dishes and cheaply priced. pairs well with blackout at rafters

I'm sorry to have to write this, but this is, by far, the absolute worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my 47 years of life. I don't know how it could be so horrible!

Everything that we ordered was beyond bland and had no really memorable flavor. EVERYTHING - it didn't matter what it was - tasted burnt.

We ordered the honey chicken. There was no honey flavor in it at all; the sauce had a watery texture and was golden brown in color. The chicken pieces were not golden brown, crispy bite-sized chunks. They were mushy, nasty as hell, flavorless, chunks of meat.

It tasted burnt, as if the oil they used to fry the chicken was burnt and older than God himself.

It was God freaking awful!

The fried rice that came with it was - I'm honestly at a loss of how to describe it.

It tasted like a mixture of 75% to 25% fresh to old rice. It lacked flavor, except for tasting burnt. It was brown colored - as if they used a variety of brown rice. The rice gave the appearance of being soaked in soy sauce, but it didn't have any of the flavor. Such a disappointment.

We also ordered the pineapple fried rice with vegetables. There were a good amount of vegetables in it, but they were flavorless in an odd mix of crunchy and mushy. The rice itself was the same as the rice from the honey chicken, just with veggies added.

All of the food that we had today was burnt, flavorless, mushy, and bland.

It was all just straight-up nasty. I thought we had found a good place, due in part to the many good reviews that i had read - and the fact that an Asian guy at my work had ordered from there and he said it was good - but it seems painfully obvious that none of these people had actually tasted real good Chinese food in their lives.

This was just God freaking awful! Never again will I ever go here. I hate to say it, but I've had better food from Panda Express! Hell, I've had better Asian food out of a gas station!

It pains me to leave this review because the people there were so freaking nice! They are the most lovely couple I've ever met in my life! Their food was just God freaking awful!

We honestly couldn't eat it all. A waste of...

7/9/22: Just had my favorite dinner portion of hot pepper chicken. Delicious! A lot of food for a fair price. Support your local mom n pop restaurants. Was out of town last weekend, went to Panda Express; not made to order, not good. So I went to Buckeye Asian Express today to satisfy my craving for scratch made Chinese food.

6/12/21: Stopped in for lunch takeout. Lunch portion of Hot Pepper Chicken and Shrimp Fried Rice. Both are awesome and I must say the Hot Pepper Chicken is my new favorite and go to Chinese meal! Can't wait to get more Hot Pepper Chicken!!

12/24/2020: Excellent dinner portion of shrimp fried rice. I bought it at lunch time and just had half for lunch and will have the other half later for dinner. Plenty of shrimp that were rather large I must say. A nice surprise! I'll be back for more in the near future. Support your mom n pop shops!! Merry Christmas and a Happy, Healthy, and Safe 2021 to all!!!

9/12/20: Excellent chicken broccoli (cooked General Tso's style) and pepper steak! Generous, inexpensive lunch portions. Fast, friendly takeout service! Support your local mom and pop shops!

Prior to 9/12/20: Excellent szechuan chicken and beef peppersteak today! Fast, friendly takeout service! Support your local mom...

Don't let the size of Buckeye Asian Express fool you. Given the size of their space, they put out a lot of good food for their customers at a reasonable price. When you enter the store, you can see the entire kitchen. You may want to take note of the cleanliness of the kitchen. The remainder of the restaurant is the entryway, a counter to serve folks from and a table and a few chairs in the off chance that there is a wait. Which, by the way, if you do have to wait there is a puzzle on the table to work so that you can entertain yourself. I have only ever been disappointed once when ordering here. Come on, everyone has an off night now and again. They do made to order spice levels and always have a smile. If you haven't tried it yet, give it a chance. The portions are plentiful, the quality of the food is high , prices are reasonable and the service is...
