The only reason for 2 stars instead on 1 is the margaritas, which were good. This was our 2nd visit, but not likely that I'll be back. I ordered a seafood dish that was noted as "house specialty", but I can't find it on the online menu. The closest thing to it is probably Mojarra a la Diablo, but this dish had the word, "Jalisco" in the name and cost around $18, instead of $16. It also didn't say 'whole tilapia' in the title, so I was somewhat taken aback when the server placed the plate in front of me with an intact fish, crusty scales, fins, head, tail and all. Had I known this, I would've opted for the shrimp chimichangas instead because I'm not too keen on having to filet my own fish at a restaurant. That being said, I soldiered on and attempted to make the best of it. However, the outer skin was so crusty and overcooked that when I put it on the flour tortillas provided, between the hard skin and a bunch of bones with, the contents all spoiled out every time I took a bite. Finally I just tried to pick out some fish meat with my fork, but due to the many bones, I didn't really get more than a few fork-fulls and made due with the side items on the plate. It was really terrible and I wish I had sent it back, but we were short on time so it probably would've taken too long. Please avoid ordering anything with while fish here! Also, even the last time here wasn't so great. My wife and I ordered a nachos plate, but the topping was more like fajitas than ordinary nachos toppings and was way too wet to be enjoyable. I think we've had enough of...
Read moreI would have given 5 stars due to experience from previous visits but the visit today was awful. My husband and I stopped by for lunch about 12:15 on a Saturday. There was one table occupied when we got there. A few other folks came in but only 2 other parties. We received our food and my husband's was perfect! Mine wasn't so I asked for it to be made with the filling I requested. When I got it again it was not good, either it wasn't cooked properly or the tortillas were stale. Also, I ordered beef tips for the filling just as I have on other occasions and this was not the filling I had ever gotten previously. Our server was nice, she had that removed from the bill but didn't even offer to get me something else, didn't bring a menu just let me watch my husband finish his food while I watched. Really not fun or pleasant. I really loved this place but if this is the best they can do on a slow weekend I hate to think about the quality...
Read moreWe came here for our first time as a group of four and were seated immediately on a Thursday evening. The menu offers a wide variety of great options from traditional to Tex mex style food. I opted for the birria tacos and one hard taco to try as I love my hard tacos! The birria tacos were very good and were prepared perfectly with the grilled cheese and crispy outer layer. I wish it had a bit more seasoning and heat but still overall was very good. The hard taco was also very good and perfectly prepared. The chips and salsa were both homemade and tasted great, the chips were still warm! The service staff was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant also has a bar where you first walk in if you would rather sit at the bar and watch some sports. The cost was very good based on the portions you get. I will definitely be coming back to eat...
