If you're in or around Hilliard and haven’t been to Steak Escape yet, you’re seriously missing out. This place is so much more than just another sandwich spot—it’s got heart, flavor, and some of the most genuinely kind people running it.
Every time I come in, I’m greeted like family. You can tell the team actually enjoys what they do. The energy is upbeat, the place is clean and organized, and there’s always someone behind the counter ready with a recommendation or a quick laugh. There’s something about the way they work together that makes the whole experience smoother and more personal than your typical fast-casual joint. The cheesesteaks are insanely good. The Grand Escape and the Philly Cheese Steak are definite crowd favorites—seriously, those things fly off the grill during lunch rush. Everything is cooked fresh right in front of you, and the portions are huge. You’ll leave full, happy, and probably already thinking about what to try next time.
Don’t sleep on the fries either—they're seasoned just right and made to order. And the baked potatoes? Totally underrated. If you’re in the mood for something a little lighter, the salads are fresh, crisp, and surprisingly filling.
One thing I’ve noticed (from, uh… many visits) is that they always try to give you their best. If something’s not up to standard, they’ll remake it, no questions asked. It’s not just about getting food out the door; they genuinely care about the customer experience, and it shows.
It’s clear the people behind Steak Escape take pride in what they do—and it’s not just about the food, it’s the way they make you feel welcome and appreciated. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or bringing the whole family, you’re in good hands.
Trust me—once you’ve been here, you’ll get why so many people keep coming back.
It may be a tad bit expensive but it’s totally...
Read moreUsed Uber eats for the first time I’m at work and didn’t wanna leave on my lunch. Placed an order for an Italian something and specifically noted on the order as well as on the selection choices I chose no chees I can’t eat it. I got my order an I had cheese on my sandwich. I called in for this issue right away. Someone picked up and told me they could replace my sandwich but not my fries. I couldn’t pick up my order till my lunch break. An I explained if I’m coming to get my sandwich which is going to be fresh can I also have my fries replaced. Why would I want to eat cold fries from an hour ago until I can pick up my food. I explained to her I didn’t touch anything and it’s steak escape fault I even have to come back. I now have to use gas to get there when that was the point of ubering and I can’t get my full order replaced ? I’m very upset I was at work speaking to her and an after about a 5 min debate of her insisting she couldn’t replace my whole order she finally agreed. That is NOT great customer service I go to steak escape in Eastland mall a lot an I absolutely love how they treat me. Please don’t take another person through this on steak escape behalf if my order was corrected the first time I wouldn’t need my whole ordered replaced. I paid an I deserve...
Read moreMy food photographed really well, and it had a lot of potential. The bread was good, the toppings were good, but what should have been the main attraction (the beef) was quite tasteless. Even just salt and pepper would have helped. I’m not certain of the exact name of what I ordered - but it was their signature sandwich with double the meat. Regular size. No substitutions, no deletions, no add-ons. It needed horseradish, spicy mustard or au jus - anything would have helped. I also ordered the black and bleu fries. The bleu cheese sauce had some twang to it, but the fries should have been tossed in the blackening seasoning. Instead it was bizarrely piled on top - only flavoring the other flavoring? And I didn’t realize there would be additional flavorless beef added to the fries. How’s that supposed to work? Dry flakes of beef don’t stick to fries.
Check out the photo I posted with this review. That picture LOOKS like I should have enjoyed my meal. And I must say the service was great. And had I walked back up to the counter, I might have been able to get something added to my meal to salvage it. I didn’t....
