My friends and I came here and it was my first time. I was excited about their menu items because it looked authentic and delicious. There's plenty of parking inside the plaza, a decent amount of seating inside, and it was busy when we went on Friday night.
We decided to order family style and got the Storm Fish, Mapo Tofu, Shanghai greens and mushrooms, and Dandan noodles. The Storm Fish was absolutely the best dish we ordered, in my opinion. The fish was battered well and super crispy, seasoned well, and cooked perfectly. The Szechuan spices weren't too overpowering but if you've never had this spice, it's a drier heat and full of flavor. The Mapo Tofu was also done very well; not too firm, not too soft. The flavor was abundant and powerful. The Shanghai greens and mushrooms was delicious! The sauce is a bit plainer, but mixed with all the Szechuan dishes, it was a great balance. The mushrooms in the dish was delicious and my favorite part of the dish. The Dandan noodles were my least favorite dish because it was too overpoweringly salty. The dish was a very small and was disappointing. The meal came with a bowl of white rice as well! Overall, the meal was delicious and I enjoyed all of it.
Staff was nice but a bit inattentive and we had to flag down our servers few times for utensils, water, and our check. I would definitely come back for more!
I would recommend this place for family dinner, casual date, small groups, and anyone looking for a delicious...
Read moreI had a great first experience with this new Chinese food restaurant. I will have to take the word of many others that this is a very authentic Szechuan style meal but it is probably the best Chinese food I have had in town.
Food was very flavorful, came out quickly but you could tell was made fresh and they were busy for a lot of take out orders and even a large catering order.
The General Tso’s chicken was more a sweet and sour to me with the breading, taste and sauce color but it was absolutely delicious.
The shredded pork with garlic sauce best all of my expectations, I almost didn’t even want to mix it with rice so I could fully savor the flavor.
Egg rolls were perfectly crisp with a thin wrap and stuffed from edge to edge. Also, they were a decent size when you are only paying $3 for 2 of them.
Kidney appetizer was the only thing I didn’t care for but I’m not usually a fan of organ meat. It was slightly cold when it came out (not sure if that’s how it’s served). The chili oil sauce that came with it was really tasty though.
Overall, I loved the staff, the food, and the atmosphere. I can’t wait to see what this place...
Read moreMy local Meetup group and I come here to eat dinner occasionally. We were able to get a table on 4th. of July, and we promptly got a table for 7. The staff is very attentive, but the wait on the food is a bit long during the dinner rush, so plan accordingly.
Be careful as the spicy dishes are incredibly delicious, but they will burn you in terms of temperature and the spice levels build up as you eat more and more spicy peppers. Sesame chicken, garlic pork, and honey walnut shrimp are not spicy. Chef's special lamb stir-fry and lamb spine are significantly spicier, but if you don't eat all of the chilies and peppers, it should be manageable.
The servings are typically quite generous, so make sure to order a hearty dish if you are hungry. If you have any dietary restrictions, the servers will readily make recommendations. For vegans who can power through spice, you can order: *Chiba tofu with no meat *Dry pot organic cauliflower with no meat *Potatoes made Sichuan style
The main courses come with a gigantic bowl of steamed rice that gets refilled...
