This Chipotle has definitely seen its ups and downs. Three years ago it was solid, then 1-2 years ago it went through some problems with inconsistent service, especially when ordering online.
These days, they seem to be doing a lot better. Online orders and in store orders are faster than they used to be. The food is fresher and hotter and the store is generally cleaner. Even the staff is much friendlier and more competent than the staff was 2 years ago when I left my previous review. I haven't had any problems here over the last 6-12 months and I eat here a few times per month.
Otherwise, it's a Chipotle. You can get bowls of food, massive burritos, or varying combinations of soft and crunchy tacos. The queso dip isn't great, but that's not the fault of the employees but rather Chipotle's decision making. All the stuff I usually eat is good here and I've never had good poisoning or anything like that (thankfully). At around $6.50 for a 1000 calorie meal that actually feels like a 1000 calorie meal, I'm satisfied that my money is well spent. It's one of the many charms of eating at a Chipotle lol.
This is actually one of the good Chipotle stores now and the service is fast enough to where I come in and stand in line more often than I order online. Of course, even the best staff have trouble when someone comes in and orders for 6 people instead of ordering online like a civilized human being, but what can ya do? The people here at the time of this review are good, the food is good and cheap, and it's only really busy during lunch and dinner rushes. Would recommend.
I've seen some people complain about the security guard. I don't think those people are from this neck of the woods. It's not always the safest neighborhood, especially after dark, and the security guard helps dissuade the criminal elements in the area. The guards never bother me and the ones I've spoken too have been nice. Would be nice if the area was crime free enough to not need them, but it's not so I consider it necessary. Sorry.
In any case, this is a good Chipotle and I still eat here once or twice ever...
Read moreEvery single time I have ordered from this location there is a problem with the order. When possible, I go to ANY other location, unfortunately it is closest to my home and my husband is on a gluten free diet, so fast food options are scarce. I have learned to check the bag before leaving and today I was especially glad I did. I always order a large chips and queso. This location is always 'out' of large bags and often the large cups. Many times I have gotten home only to find a small bag of chips- which is never filled to the level that any other Chipotle location does, and a small side cup of queso. Today was no exception. In addition to trying to cheat me (and how many other customers???) out of the price of the large chips/queso, they didn't make the burrito I ordered for myself!!! I ordered a bowl with everything and double protein for my husband. Other locations will sometimes divide it into 2 bowls, so I didn't think much about it since I was dealing with the chips/queso debacle. When I got to my car, I decided to check just to make sure. No burrito. They crammed everything for my husband's bowl into 1 and the 2nd bowl was about half full with my burrito- without the tortilla of course. While I'm giving feedback, I will also say that this location has a SERIOUS lack of consistency in how they prepare the various recipes. It NEVER tastes the same way twice and NEVER tastes like the same product at other locations. For example: the rice. There have literally been a few times that I picked out pieces of jalapeno the size of my fingernail. The tomato salsa is often onions & jalapenos with a smattering of tomatoes thrown in. With all of this said, I will admit that I am a chef and my standards are high, HOWEVER, I find it curious that I can go to other locations in Gahanna, New Albany, or Easton and never...
Read moreHello, I would like to express my concerns about the cashier today, Norman. I come to this place and order all the time however, today I came in with my nephew and experienced the most racist things ever. the man in front of us was ordering a few bowls so it took him longer. A very polite team member took my one bowl order and was very fast. Meaning, I was at the register first. The team was still prepping the other customers food once I got to register. The cashier refused to cash me out because he stated i cut the line, yet the customers food was being prepper still. He said "boo" when another team member decided to cash me out. very rude , disrespectful, and discouraging to a loyal customer. My nephew who was standing fairly close to me, in front of the EMPTY to-go station, Norman asked one of his team members to "check him" mind you my nephew was fully visible and had absolutely nothing in his hands. I asked "why are you checking him and there is nothing around nor did he move?' norman smirked-smiled and had no answer as to why he wanted to "check my nephew"
I feel disgusted by the whole scenario and completely embarrassed. I walked to my car after the situation however it was really bothering me, So i asked for his name and another team member, Black Man with Dreads and tattoos, lied to me and told me the cashier name was Daniel. Not knowing i have a receipt with all of this store-cashiers info. the falsified information given to me by the employees and then the embarrassment My nephew and I have felt leaving the restaurant was shocking and unpleasant. I will be leaving a google review and if this cannot be redeemed I will gladly take...
