After reading several reviews I almost feel guilty giving this a 2-star rating. First let me start by saying I got this through Door Dash, so service and atmosphere does not apply. Second, I was eating alone and wasn’t very hungry, so first time ordering I just started with two tacos.
Door Dash showed a 2 for $6.60 deal, which was half price. That didn’t include any fees or tip. I have to blame this on myself because instead of getting the birria that everyone was gushing about in the reviews, or the Al pastor, which is one of my favorites, I thought first time out, I would just go with the seasoned ground beef…wrong choice.
I started to laugh as soon as I lifted the styrofoam box it was stored in, it was so light that surely they must have only sent one taco, but no, there were two very small tacos. They had a double soft shell that was a little larger than a wonton wrapper. It comes only with cilantro, onions, and salsa. I added Pico de Gallo and cheese, which each cost an additional.25 cents. I think back now from about an hour ago and don’t remember any cheese.
I have to say, the meat was very bland. The reviews talked about the generous portions of meat and I guess you could say that was true in comparison to the size of the tortilla, but really the cilantro and Pico overshadowed any of the “seasoned” ground beef.
Sorry for the ling review for just two tacos, but I thought to myself how furious I would have been had I actually paid $14.20 for what turned out to be two taco canepe’s. Now that my eyes are open, I will order again because of all the great reviews and wanting to try the birria meat, as well as some other menu items. Thanks...

I have no issue tipping at all. Forcing gratuity and only putting the details of this on the second receipt that is hidden below the one the patron is asked to sign is not good. If you need to raise your prices and pay your employees more this is not the way to do it.
edit: since the meat of my argument wasn't addressed in the owner's response let me say this. People visit restaurants to eat and socialize. I was with my friend who's dad just passed away and I was focused on being there for him.
Digging through your menu to find the real price just ain't it. It very well may be listed in your menu that you force gratuity. That doesn't change the fact that you should just raise your prices and it doesn't change the fact that you hide the gratuity on the second receipt that is hidden below the first one that patrons are asked to sign. When you are providing customers with service in the service industry they should never feel like "oh, they're being slick right now" but that's EXACTLY how EVERYONE at the table reacted to me noticing the difference in receipts.
A restaurant menu isn't the terms and conditions for a credit card and your patrons shouldn't be asked to do anything besides find something they like and order it. It should be straight forward. Pricing should be clear.
The practices you employ are not the standard in the industry. Your job is to provide good service, and you aren't doing it. Needing to respond with some legalese "ummmm ackshuallyyyyyy it's on the menu" as if I should be getting out my reading glasses and reading the menu from front to back just goes to show you don't understand...
Read moreFirst time coming over here, tucked in the little mall on the access road by Maple Canyon on 161. It's a tiny place, but bright. They have a k-cup machine, bottled and canned drinks, and also some great smoothies. There's also ice cream and some different milkshakes, with yogurt and oatmeal being involved, they are not your usual fare. The menu has a selection of tacos, burritos, and tortas, and something I've long wished to try, cemitas. This visit, I got a fish taco, asada taco, and the cemita de milanesa, which can come with breaded chicken, beef, or pork. I opted for the chicken. It's a huge sandwich on a giant bun. There's a pounded flat breaded chicken breast or two, ham, lots of cheese, tomato, onion, what I believe was a black or refried beans later, and possibly nopales (cactus), and I also asked for Chipotle sauce. It is a lot, and the sandwich almost tastes overboard with so many flavors, but I enjoyed it. I wished the chicken breasts had a little more thickness to them, so they could be a bit juicier and give a meatier bite, but I enjoyed the sandwich a lot. As for my tacos, the fish taco was underwhelming to me, and I wasn't a fan of the sauce. The asada taco was amazingly good. Bursting with flavor, just very tasty. A strawberry smoothie was also very flavorful, and the milkshake, as I mentioned earlier, is very different. But this little place is certainly worth a look! I'll...
