I have no idea why or how this place has such good reviews. That's the reason I even tried it in the first place, but honestly, I could have made a better burrito myself. I have had better burritos from Chipolte. It didn't taste like authentic Mexican AT ALL. Seriously, On the Border tastes more authentic than this! The food was bland, the burrito was half beans, the steak wasn't seasoned, and there wasn't even chopped onion or cilantro. It was just beans, a little bit of cheese, tough, unseasoned steak bits, a couple dollops of sour cream and some shredded lettuce. Did I mention zero seasoning? I'm sorry, I'll never be back. Probably the saddest excuse for Mexican food I've ever had.... Even my husband who will eat anything and isn't picky whatsoever said the burrito wasn't any good. That's how you know for...
Read moreI dont think I will ever be back. Taco meat was very dry, tortillas were very dry. Meat was flavorless. How can you get a taco wrong? Thats the most basic Mexican food dish. They expect you to eat the same salsa that was used with the chips for the tacos. Salsa was yucky, they just dumped some onion and cilantro to some can tomato base and called it a salsa. It just seems is more for drunks that a family restaurant. Will not go back. Avoid this place if you want good food.
Necesitan esforzarse. La mesera fue mas o...
Read moreThe chips and salsa were both first rate. The service was friendly though I suspect the server had only a small understanding of the English language. The main courses were a mixed situation. I got a veggie fajitas and my Wife got chicken flauntas. Her order was supposed to substitute her beans for french fries but came out beans. My order was correct but the flour tortillas were rather bland. The veggies were very tasty as were the beans, rice, pico, and lettuce. My Wife reported her flauntas were a little burnt on the ends and the chicken was overcooked. She said the taste was ok but chewy due to the overcooking. I think if you speak Spanish this might be a good place to eat. Even without Spanish it is passable, just not...
