Culver’s — Restaurant in Columbus

Wow! What an amazing first experience. I saw a facebook ad for this place last night and I never tried the food before. Luckily for me I was pleased to find they had just opened one near by. Convinced by the burgers picture on the ad I decided to give it a try. Boy am I glad I did! Let's have a look at what encouraged me to write this review.

Pulling into the parking lot: Greated by a nice looking newly built building I was greeted by the Culver's logo sporting my favorite color blue. As I pulled in I had a look at the drive thru line and noticed quite a bit of cars, not backed up, just a popular joint. Great sign of good food. I parked in the parking lot, and there was enough space and clearly marked spaces. I was excited to get my hands on a burger

Walking in: As soon as I stepped in the door I was greeted by the staff, all clean, properly dressed, smiling and a shining example of a good first impression. They all gave me attention and I didn't feel like I was waiting to be acknowledged. After the extremely professional young man took my order I had a seat and waited for my meal in anticipation. I went with the double bacon burger and a expresso frozen custard.

Atmosphere: What a clean restaurant. I was struggling to figure out if this was fast food or a restaurant the likes of chili's, Applebee's, olive garden, etc. Now it wasn't fancy, but man was it clean and the seats were perfect. Great restaurant environment.

The food: I sat at a table and put my number card on the table top. I took my phone out expecting to wait about 5-10 minutes. As soon as I started to scroll on Facebook to kill some time someone walked to my table to deliver my food. I was very surprised as I was in a restaurant environment but got the fast food speed! The employee was very courteous and kind. Ready to judge their food i picked up a single French fry and tasted it. It was warm, crunchy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and seasoned just perfectly. It wasn't overly salty and I wasn't looking around for a salt shaker. It was perfection. Now the fries set the mood so I was nervous picking up the burger hoping I didn't start with the good stuff first to be let down by the rest of the meal. I bit into the burger and I was in awe. All I can say is that their burger was dang good. I don't know how to explain it other than "they don't make em like that anymore". Regardless of how fast i got my food, this food was clearly NOT fastfood quality. These burgers would give burgers at other big name restaurants a run for their money. The frozen custard was creamy and they used real expresso shots as toppings. Amazing food. I overheard a couple behind me, obviously experiencing Culver's for the first time as well. He had the fish sandwich and he was shocked and asking his wife to taste the food. He also stated that this place rivaled one of his favorite places long john silvers. We talked about our first experience together and we all found we were pleasantly surprised. I left Culver's a very happy man.

Great food, great location, amazing staff and you have made yourself a new fan. Glad that facebook ad came across my screen. I will be back for sure. Update: I went back the next day and man is their...

I keep hearing people complain that the burgers were flat.. well yeah... they are smashed burgers...they are supposed to be that way...And they are the best damn burgers!!! When we go me my husband and daughter, we get the double butter burger with everything on it.. The staff is always friendly and greet you when you walk in.. the place is always nice and clean.. And by the time you order and sit down to wait.. you barely get into your phone and they are already bringing your food.. that is always cooked fresh and hot.. and soooo delicious..when you bite into the burger, the juice just runs down your hands...not grease..but juice...The fries are always cooked perfect and delicious and HOT!! The custard is AMAZING!! I know there are those people that are always gonna complain no matter what! But don't sweat it Culver's... your food is great, what i have tried so far, the atmosphere is great, and the employees are very friendly and helpful..best burger I've had by far...and the prices are very good compared to many other restaurants/ fast food places...My family are definitely life long customers...keep up the great work...
