Im a Door dasher in the area and I was a bit disappointed with my interaction today. I usually NEVER have issues with this store and today I encountered a woman who had a management shirt on and was a blonde, 50-60 year old with a bob-cut. She felt instead of walking to the window that yelling across the kitchen was best, which whatever. But then I told her the order I was grabbing, then she just outright said they don't have it. I asked if she was sure and that the order had a party sized Italian salad on it (only odd item i could tell that wouldn't be on every order) and 4 pizzas. She then said she DID have an order with the salad on it, but it was for delivery and she hadn't had time to make it because she's "doing this" and gestured at the window, which Im still at. Eventually she just told me to pull up front while they make the order.
I dont know what I was supposed to say to her. "I'm sorry that you are doing part of your job, so then you feel you cant.......do your job?" How is it my fault as the customer-by-proxy that you can't do your job? I also don't take kindly when people act like I should just let an order go because they don't seem to understand I make majority of my money on tips. The order was clearly a "buy lunch for the office" size order, which tend to tip well and to act like I should let go of what could be a good chunk of money is a...
Read moreThis is one of the very few "Google Maps" reviews of a restaurant that I have ever written without actually having eaten at that location.
I have ordered food [most frequently, pizza] more than 180 times from Donatos Upper Arlington [near the intersection of Northwest Blvd. and Zollinger Rd.]. My experience with Donatos Upper Arlington leads me to believe that the food that is served at Donatos Grandview is of equally high quality.
I usually order my food from Donatos Upper Arlington by ordering on-line and then picking up my order a few minutes later. Obviously, I would never do that at Donatos Grandview unless I were to move to a different location [or if I just happened to be in that neighborhood at the correct time].
Yesterday [7-1-2022], I had been waiting for a COTA bus [that never came but that fact is unrelated to this review] and had five minutes or so to briefly wander around Donatos Grandview, to take some photographs for Google Maps, and then to travel home [which I ended up having to travel home via Uber but that fact is unrelated to this review].
I strongly recommend Donatos as one of the best pizza restaurants in central Ohio.
Even though I still think of Donatos as a central Ohio company [they indeed are; their headquarters are in Gahanna, Ohio], they now have 375 locations...
Read moreI woke up to a voicemail message this morning that was left at 11: 56 p. m. Last night. The message was from this location's delivery driver who said that he was there to deliver a pizza (that I didn't order) and asked me to call the store. My family and I frequent this location and I wanted to call and apologize and see if there was anything that I needed to make right. The employee that I spoke to was extremely rude when all I was trying to do was apologize. He just kept saying, "I don't know I wasn't here last night. I don't know I wasn't here last night. I don't know I wasn't here last night." Eventually in mid-sentence, I was hung up on. It seems that lately every location we go to, Donato's employees are young/rude children who don't really need/appreciate their job. I wish you would hire more grown adults who depend on their job and don't take it for granted. It's amazing that I was just calling to apologize over a simple mistake and ended up feeling like the employee I spoke to was just so ugly that I don't even want to be a customer here anymore. How many pizzas were you making at 9:15 a.m. That you had...
