Stopped at this restaurant in Columbus on our way home from a swim meet last week. We had asked three locals where we should eat, and they all mentioned Dusters as a great local restaurant.
Food: The filet was tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection-medium rare as requested. I enjoyed the loaded baked potato, there is raw onions stuffed in that bad boy which is not typical! I loved it, but if you’re not one for raw onions here is your heads up!
My husband had the fried shrimp entree, he enjoyed it a lot. Didn’t want to share/swap a bite with our son! He tried the Soup of the day (sausage and vegetable) and noted it was good.
Our son had the Neptune Seafood Fettuccini. He loved it! Scallops can taste fishy sometimes, but he stated these were not. He ate every last bite!
House salad was simple with the lettuce, croutons, and your choice of dressing. The croutons had great texture and taste, the ranch dressing was also fantastic!
If I had to give one criticism about the food-the steamed vegetables. Husband and I didn’t prefer them, they seem to be frozen vegetable medley that you get at home and microwave. They have really great food, so wish they put a little more into the vegetable.
Our waitress was attentive and very nice. Restaurant was clean, and has two big screen T.V.’s. When we stopped they were casting women’s volleyball games.
Overall would recommend for a nice dinner in Columbus! Our family...
Read moreOh boy... This was my first time visiting this "restaurant", and it will definitely be my last. We ordered curbside pickup and when I called to let them know I was here, they said I could come in and get it. I reminded them I had curbside pickup, and they seemed to be confused as to what I was even talking about. So I had to come in to get the food, which wasn't even done yet. My husband and I ordered the seasonal Korean beef cheek sandwich. Our daughter got the Small Appetite fried shrimp. The sandwiches were very....VERY greasy. My husband said his bun tasted distinctly of freezer burn, as he actually spit it out. It also tasted nothing like Korean beef, no spice, no flavor other than the sauce that came with it. Our daughter opened her to-go box to find only 4 shrimp with a fruit cup. I know this is supposed to be for small appetites, but come on. My daughter is 11 and she was still very hungry after her taking only 3 minutes to eat what was supposed to be her entire dinner. Definitely not worth 10.99. We also had an order of asparagus fries. Greasy planks of frozen asparagus. All of the vegetables at this sad establishment tasted like they had been freshly defrosted. Listen, you can eat wherever you want but in my opinion this restaurant is stuck in the 90's trying to remain relevant while using misguided food combinations and completely subpar ingredients. Do...
Read moreMy first exposure to Duster's began with a pre ordered purchase of 2 kegs of their house brewed rootbeer we selected to complement the reception offerings at my daughter's wedding. Having yet to sample the grape or cream soda also offered makes for a return reason. We drove over on a very warm and humid Nebraska evening and experienced the Gottberg Brew Pub for drinks and dining. The unique circular grain bin reminence walls and ceiling over the bar area with the three belt driven ceiling fans enhance the rooms overall appearance. Our food selections were prepared quickly while we enjoyed their house brewed apricot pilsner beer which was excellent! Our drink and food selections were served by the attentive no nonsense staff which complemented our overall dining experience. We both thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will certainly be planning a return trip! You will not be disappointed based on...
