New Years 2023 Disaster! We made reservations to have a nice dinner out of the house alone for a ONCE A YEAR special event and ended up with COLD, over done, fatty prime rib too TOUGH to eat much. Boiled to death MUSHY veggies and CHEAP no bake cheesecake dessert while others were served real New York cheesecake. The drink ice and water had a STALE smell and flavor as well - in a solo cup no less. We were NEVER greeted by a host and seated - we found our table by ACCIDENT. We were IGNORED and not spoken to or served for 40 minutes. We had to FLAG a server down for everything all night. No one took a single drink order the whole night. Our 4 courses were served almost all at once on our tiny table. There were several kids SCREAMING and running around all night. We would have never made reservations if we knew unsupervised kids would be there - we could have stayed home with our own kids and had a better experience. The only pleasant part of the night was the music by Jim Davis. We politely told a manager the problems and they simply said they were UNDER prepared and did not offer to comp a SINGLE thing. Worst New Years dinner and $100 we've ever spent.

UPDATE: 1/2/23 Response from the owner a day ago: "I am the owner and manager and humbly appologize for the poor service and experience you received while dining with us. We as a very small business want to offer live music and a unique experience to our patrons while remaining family friendly and 100% strive to do our very best."

Mary Jane: Yet another justification. Why would the size of your business deter the quality of your service? Apparently because they are a small business and THEY were under prepared, WE had to pay for it regardless.. Businesses - big or small, when you take other people's money, you don't get to make excuses.

P.S. Please get the ice machine checked out. The ice is stale or possibly even spoilt by microorganisms and you can smell it...

Been inside a couple of times during downtown events, but know they must be very hard to get ahold of tried calling a Numbers listed and even left voicemail to try to schedule a time to come look at it for a reception hall for my upcoming wedding they never answered or replied back. Stopped by after the time they listed they were open, but the doors were still locked (tried all of them) and the opening sign was out. Gave it a little bit to see. Just gave up and went out and checked out other halls. Was excited this place was my first option, but after all that decided to not even bother if they are that hard to get ahold of just to come in and check things out made me wonder how the experience would be if I go through them.

Reply: It was back around February when we tried to reach you and left a voicemail. I did have the right location I went to you website and got the number through there and remember hearing the lady say her name on the voicemail and thinking yes that’s her. Can’t think of the name now but knew her and her husband owns the business. Like I stated before we also tried to go there after opening hours to try to reach you the open sign was out along with the sign in the north end saying to use the other doors, but doors were locked even waited a little bit. I had to put together a quick graduation, Christmas, meet-the-family, birthday, start-of-a-new-chapter celebration for our youngest daughter at The Oak Room Friedhof Building in Columbus, Nebraska (the only place suitable) on DECEMBER 23, 2023 with only a couple of weeks notice!! Tracy was more than calm and willing to accommodate us on this with such a ridiculous short notice, and was so incredibly helpful and steady throughout the planning and execution!!! The venue was already beautifully decorated for Christmas, and I added particulars in the way of banners, balloons and gold/white dish settings!! It was such a great success!!! A beautiful venue like that, which could accommodate over a hundred or two, still managed to create a cosy, intimate feel for this celebration!!! It could not have been more perfect! It will be my go-to for all of our family...
