Will. Come. Here. Every. Time. I'm. In. Town. Periodt.

Wanted to try something different and saw that this restaurant has 5/5 stars and I have never been disappointed by a 5 star rating.

And goodness, Riziki Swahili Grill, did not disappoint. Let me set the mood for you. A small intimate setting with about 6 tables. No music playing, only the subtle sounds of the kitchen and the soothing sound of familiar family banter.

I was greeted and seated by Riziki herself, the host, the chef, the mastermind. She was more than willing to explain anything on the menu and even gave her own insight of how she eats particular dishes. Fatima was an amazing waitress and was so kind. They both went above and beyond what was necessary.

I had the mango juice and also the ginger juice (my personal favorite), beef samosa, fish of the day with rice, and chicken chapati with a side of spinach.

Everything and I'm mean every single bite was packed with flavor and that made you feel like you were home.

It was truly an unbelievable experience. I feel a deep sadness for anyone that isn't willing to venture to this wonderful...

Decided to take take a quick trip to Columbus and try this spot. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY worth the drive. We will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu. The owner was so kind, and the staff was attentive and friendly as well.

Chicken & Beef Sambusa: 10/10 crispy and beautiful flavors. We had the regular and the spicy, and the spicy is perfection!

Chapati: 10/10 I have had too many Chapati from all around, and let me tell you when I say these are the ABSOLUTE best Chappo ever, they are.

Skumawiki: 10/10 This freshly made kale was cooked to perfection. Again, maybe the best skuma I've had! A must try.

Goat Stew: 9/10 the goat was tender, and the stew was delicious. A little more curry and spice would level this dish to 10/10 for me.

Ugali: 10/10 Perfectly made Ugali that was soft and playable. Made for a perfect bite when scooping it with our skuma and stew.

Ginger Juice: Delicious and fresh with that kicked up spice you're used to when having ginger juice. Lovely!

Mango Juice: freshly squeezed and not too...

Tucked into the center of a roundabout in a quiet Northland neighborhood, Riziki Swahili Grill might be easy to overlook—but don’t be fooled by its modest appearance. The food is bursting with flavor, and the hospitality is truly exceptional. We started with veggie and beef sambusas along with refreshing mango and watermelon drinks while we waited for our main courses. The sambusas were perfectly crisp and came with a flavorful dipping sauce that complemented them beautifully. For our mains, we had the beef ugali and the chicken chapati. Both were delicious, but the chapati dish really stood out—the pan-fried flatbread was so good we found ourselves wishing for more. The owner and chef was incredibly warm and welcoming, taking the time to chat with us about the dishes and answer all our questions. Her passion and kindness made the experience even more memorable. I can’t wait to come back!

Flavorful high quality food! Riziki Swahili Grill serves delicious food from East Africa. I am familiar with West African food so it was nice to get a chance to try the cuisine from the East side of the African continent. I was amazed by the unique combination of flavors. You can tell by the quality of the food that the chef really knows how to cook. We had the Sambusa appetizers along with Chapati with fish and Ugali as the entrees. The beans in coconut milk were amazing as were as the other items we ordered. The service was great. The waitress was able to explain the items on the menu. We really enjoyed eating at Riziki Swahili Grill. If you are ever in Columbus Ohio. Do not miss out on this this restaurant. You will not be disappointed.
