
Not worth the hassle. The customer service is so poor. Hour and a half wait when calling in. I literally ordered shito and fresh tomato hot sauce with my fish and checked with the cashier before I left who stated it was in my container. I check my food in the car and sure enough it’s not in there. What makes it crazy is everytime my family member orders for us who is of Ghanaian descent the shito and tomato hot sauce is in the containers it’s even advertised on the pictures of the menu when ordering. I called them explained what was missing and the cashier told me to bring my food back in. The female owner goes on to say is there not peppers and onions on your fish to downplay my complaint. Yes it’s on the fish as it comes with it! I specifically asked for the shito and tomato hot sauce on the side as in the picture! I know it comes with it as again my family member never has issues. She then says oh it’s going to be a up charge and who’s your spouse. Ma’am I’m not paying extra for something that should have initially came in my food. And why does it matter who I know. I told them they give it to the people of their culture but act like I’m ignorant to what I’m ordering, she’s goes on to say I’m being prejudice. How am I being prejudice by asking for something that is supposed to come in my food that I’ve for a fact previously had before. This place doesn’t have to worry about getting another nickel from me! Work on your customer service skills and stop picking and choosing who you’ll provide shito and fresh tomato hot sauce to it’s something on a secret menu!
Don’t act as though I requested Anything for free, if I order something the expectation is for it To be in my box especially after you staff tells me it is. I don't know if it was the day or if this is normal and people just are okay with cold dry food or the reviews are by non africans but, To keep this objective I will simply state facts. I ordered grilled tilapia, waychke(beans and rice) and plantain. My total $43. When i called, i asked for no added sugar. Immediately in the background, someone was shouting and i could hear over the phone. I immediately said perhaps i should cancel because im not loving the vibe. The guy on the phone taking the order just said to be understanding because people communicate differently so i kept my order exactly an hour from the time I hung up the phone, I arrived to pick up my food. The tilapia was dry and lukewarm. The plantains were the same. And so was rice and beans. I immediately called and said I waited a whole hour for this food never got a phone call that it was ready and everything is cold so he said to bring it back and he would warm it for me and I said absolutely not I want fresh food or a refund. I get there she started arguing! I was HORRIFIED that she really told me after charging $43 for rice and beans to warm the food! Who buys $43 worth of food for one meal... (BEANS and RICE at that) just to microwave it like leftovers? Anyway, that was my experience at this place. Read moreI am so impressed with this restaurant - the quality of the food and the service. I had a massive fiasco with Ubereats trying to get food delivered. I ordered through Ubereats because I had a significant coupon through them. The driver cancelled my order for no reason after Drelyse had already prepared my order and had it waiting for me. This cancellation by the driver meant that Drelyse would not get paid for an order they had prepared nor would I get the food I had paid for. Long story short, I decided to drive 25 minutes to get the food myself because I did not want a small business to be disrespected and affected by unprofessional behavior from a third party service. The lady who assisted me (I assume the owner) was very kind and considerate. She thoughtfully gave me a discount on the food and understood my position. Once I got home and tasted the food I was AMAZED. Such delicious food!!! I ordered the jollof with chicken and red red with chicken. The chicken was well seasoned, juicy, and easily fell off the bone. The jollof was exceptional and came with a small side salad. The red red was quite spicy, will simply need to ask for less spice next time. I will be coming back for sure!!!! Authentic and delicious food. Well worth the drive.
