WORST EXPERIENCE WITH A RESTAURANT EVER! I was treated rudely by two employees and lied to by three employees from the Donatos store located at 1891 Tamarack Circle North, Columbus, OH 43229 on February 5th, 2014 when I called to check on the status of our order (at 6:28) which had been placed two hours prior (at 4:28 pm). I told the employee which answered the phone that I had been told that it would take 1 hour and forty minutes for delivery and asked the employee if we were getting food. The employee then stated "That was not what you were told" and that they had not provided me with a time. I then asked to speak with the store manager and asked this employee for the district manager's phone number. The employee then told me that he did not know the district manager's phone number. I then asked again to speak to the store manager. The employee then retrieved the manager (Mitchell), who then compounded the issue by also treating me disrespectfully and by also lying to me! When I began explaining the situation to the store manager (Mitchell), the store manager (Mitchell) also stated that I had not been given a time but that it was not late because they had 6:48 pm as the delivery time in the computer. I then informed him that I was given a delivery time as I had asked my boyfriend if an hour and forty minutes was alright, to which he stated that it was. When I asked for the district manager's phone number, I was told that they did not have a district manager. I then informed him that I am not stupid and demanded the district manager's phone number. My boyfriend then became upset as he had now heard all three conversations on speaker phone and stated loudly that he should not be talking to me like that, he should be comping the meal at this point and providing me with the district manager's phone number. At this point, he finally began to be more agreeable, told me that he would credit the price of the meal within three days but still refused to provide me with name of the other employee which was rude or the name of his district manager. He then told me to call 1-800-DONATOS and finally told me that the district manager's name is Ben Smith. He also told me that the driver's name was Robert and asked me if I could remember that! Our meal finally arrived at 7:15 pm. When the driver (Robert) arrived with our cold subs and wings, we informed him that his manager stated that the meal was being comped and he stated that he was told as much. The driver also had four two liter bottles of soda but we had only ordered two and I began to accept them as well. My boyfriend then told me to hold on as we didn't want the driver to come up short if the two extra two liter bottles of soda weren't for us. The driver then looked at the receipt and stated that the two extra two liters were not for us and that he had to take seven two liters of soda when he left the store, so we gave them back to him and tipped him three dollars cash. After closing the door, we checked our copy of the receipt and found that four two liters were charged to the credit card! My boyfriend then flagged him down as he was backing out of the driveway and told him that we were charged for four two liters and told him to check the receipt. He then stated that he believed him and handed them to him. WE WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THIS DONATOS LOCATION AGAIN! IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE THAT THERE IS AN ISSUE WITH THIS LOCATION, THEN JUST CHECK THE RATINGS ON GOOGLE! Read moreUnfortunately, I had to edit my 5 star review because I had 1 good experience over a year ago when they hired a new manager. However, that is far out-weighed by EVERY other delivery I've had over the past year.
One ordered delivered to my neigbor who was kind enough to bring it to me. Another order which I pre-scheduled 3 hrs early was delivered 2 hrs late. I tried calling and no one answers. Last night, I actually received part of I am sure someone elses order. I tried immediately to contact the Door dash rep so they could turn around and get it. No response. I tried to call the store many times and the phone just hangs up. In fact, any time I've ever tried to call no one answers.
I really think their delivery service has degraded since using Door dash instead of their own drivers. I always order from Dontatos online direct so they're choosing to send it via DD. I think I should really give this rating to DD, but since I don't use them it's on...
Read moreI ordered from this Donatos last night and was VERY dissatisfied with the time of delivery, quality of food and customer service. I placed my order online at approximately 10:21pm for a personal cheese pizza & an Italian side salad w/o banana peppers and to add ham. I got an email notification from Donatos stating my pizza left the building at 10:45pm but didn't arrive to my home until 11:10pm. When I got my pizza the cheese was VERY blackened, burnt and not even hot! My salad was chock full of banana peppers and didn't have any ham like I requested. I called the store immediately after receiving my order. I waited for 20 minutes for an operator to pick up the phone and no one ever answered so I hung up and filed a complaint on the website. I was advised someone would contact me "shortly" but still no response. Probably will never order from this location again and I bet I don't tip your piss poor of a delivery driver...
