As a Columbus native who was not raised on Dinglewood, World Famous is where I go when I’m craving a chili dog, bag of chips, and a big ole sweet tea served in a styrofoam cup. Great service at the affordable Mom and Pop shop that keeps things classic with their walk up window and picnic table seating right across the street from Rosehill Seafood. (I’d recommend parking in the Rosehill parking lot and walking across the street to World Famous, whose small parking lot can get crowded making it difficult navigate back onto Hamilton Rd). I usually go for the World Famous Combo with extra pickles with a sweet tea (free refill) & I switch up my chips every time. Their dogs aren’t so messy that you need silverware, and are great for a quick bite for lunch any weekday—you’ll be sad they aren’t open on the weekends.

This was a lovely hot dog experience lol! Found this place while working and had to give it a try! I ordered the scrambled dog combo with salt and vinegar chips and it comes with a large tea! It was so good omg and I’ve never had a hot dog with cracker bits in the sauce! What an awesome touch! I really wanted to order a second one but had to stop myself lol! Also, the tea was huge! Definitely a jumbo tea and was good too! Stop by and get you some of the best hot dogs in Columbus!

First time visiting here, and honestly have to say it was super tasty! I got the chili dog with cheese, as well as a sweet tea, and it was delicious. The service was fast, and the staff were friendly. I could definitely see myself visiting here on the regular if I lived in the area. Stop by and give them a try!

No frills, walk up order. Ideal for the get it & go lunch hours. Perfect for those on motorcycles. I'm not one to go crazy over hot dogs, and I never order them. Except from this place. My gmaw lived behind Rosehill Seafood, raised her children & grandchildren there. She would have me walk up to World famous & get 2 Footlongs, 1 for her & 1 for me. Normally 2 regular sizes or my limit for regular homemade dogs. But theirs are SO tasty. I don't get to get them often at all. Its a rarity. I know the owners have changed once (I think), but was told they were able to keep the recipe from the original. You can make it a combo with...

In a city with tons of hot dog options everywhere, World Famous reign supreme. Don't let the environment of old-garage-turned-into-a-kicthen fool you. The dogs are great, well priced, and the place quite clean from simple appearance. It's absolutely worth a visit.

Outdoor seating is available although not particularly comfortable, so don't expect anything too fancy (but I mean, hey, it's a hot dog place!). Expect to wait a bit despite the otherwise fast service during lunch time (11:30-12:45 or so), and especially on days where there is nice weather. It can...
