This was go to place for tofu dishes. However after this incident and the level of service their staff and manager provided on an issue, I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. Issue: Sunday 1/12 night near their closing time I made take out order for Schezuan Tofu and Brown Rice. This was my lunch for next day. On next day, found that the meal had chicken in it. Tried calling them on Monday: no response and found they’re closed. Today (tuesday) I called to make them aware of this issue. First call with lady - after telling her that I want report incorrect order I picked on sunday night - she put me on hold for 3mins while asking to wait 1 second. Overheard their conversation about some mold (hearing with raised eyebrows) and giggles (probably she forgot that she asked me hold). Cancelled the call and called again, explained the whole issue for about 5min to another lady. She offered to come pickup correct order as a solution. I let her knew, that if this order was correct in first place, it shouldn’t have caused me all the inconvenience (had to go out and buy another lunch on monday at work). Then she offered a refund, and asked my phone number to process it. I also mentioned that I’ve been a long time customer, so can I get a free meal next time for all the inconvenience caused to me due to the incorrect order. She agreed and was ready to hang the phone. I requested if she can confirm refund amount, process it while I’m phone (so i don’t have to call/follow-ups again) and how would i let them know about free same meal on my next pickup. She mentioned that she’s processing the refund and asked my contact again to send code/coupon for next free pickup. Abruptly she handed the phone to another guy while speaking to him in their native language. Guy mentioned that is store manager, how can he help. I mentioned that you’d now be briefed about the issue from the lady. He said, no and explain what’s the issue. I explained everything again. And his response was come today or next time and will give you your correct order and free side of spring roll. I mentioned this is unacceptable, I’ll not drive 15min one way to pickup order that should’ve been correct in first place and for your free side of spring roll. I mentioned that lady confirmed that she’s refunding the amount and will provide me a coupon/code for my next free pickup (same cost meal). He said we need your credit card number for refund. Later he went on saying we need you and credit card in-person to process the return. I asked why can’t you track it in your system by order date/time - contact no. and process the refund. He started yelling over the phone that his system is down and they’re very busy rn. He even went on saying are you calling at right location, asked me to tell him the address. I shared the address and repeated that I only come to this location and a long time customer. He later on said, he doesn’t have time to talk to me and said he’ll call me later. What a pathetic customer service!!! Plus now I doubt the quality of their food (especially after hearing...
Read moreDecided to treat my daughter to an early dinner after getting her nails done yesterday afternoon. Ordered steamed won tons and a sweet and sour chicken dinner to go. What we got was a quart of sweet & sour chicken, a pint of sauce, a pint of white rice and the steamed dumplings. No fried rice. No egg roll. Should have checked the order I guess. Although the order wasn't correct the heavily breaded chicken was bland and greasy at best but it was edible. I would have said this was a passable place in a pinch EXCEPT the steamed dumplings which must come covered and/or are stored in some type of plastic cellophane which the cook forgot to remove prior to cooking !! Just disgusting not to mention dangerous biting into a dumpling and finding a dumpling size wad of plastic! The place was empty .. just no reason for such careless food prep. I wish I had thought to read the reviews first and saved myself the $20 bucks I paid to throw away food and disappointing my daughter. AND, and, and almost to add insult to injury the lady at the counter is very curt and does don't speak/understand english. Its fine if English isn't your first language but don't be upset when asked to repeat yourself and for crying in the mud...
Read moreWe really enjoy Chinese food, and we received a menu from here in the mail with a few coupons on it. We got extra spicy general taos chicken, and spicy szechuan chicken and got an order of crab rangoons for free w/ coupon.
First thing we noticed was that the rangoons had no crab, no onion, nothing. They were basically like plain cream cheese in a wonton wrapper. Not good.
The szechuan chicken is usually my 'benchmark' for Chinese food places. This stuff was nasty. The chicken was gummy and tasteless, and the sauce was thin and also lacking of flavor. I enjoyed the broccoli and carrots out of it, but the rest of the dish was a huge disappointment. I couldn't detect the slightest hint of spice.
The general's chicken was passable at best. The sauce was nicely flavored but the chicken was mushy. Better than the szechuan though. Even though we ordered 'extra spicy,' this one also was not spicy at all.
Overall, even with free crab Rangoons, this was probably the most disappointing Chinese food experience I've had in the area.
