Big Panda — Restaurant in Commerce City

In order to leave a review I had to put one star but I wouldn’t even give this place one star. Absolutely the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have experienced. I called them at 6:12pm to place an order, it took them 11 min to take my order so we will assume that at 6:23 my order was placed. She told me 50-60 min for delivery, I offered to come pick it up as I am literally 3 minutes away the lady told me that bc I was so close the time would be much less than what was given. At 7:15pm I called and asked where our food was as this was a surprise dinner for my husbands promotion and I said that as well so I wanted the food to arrive quickly or I could come get it.. the person that answered the phone went from understanding me perfect to not understanding English as she said. And said the food was on its way.. 30 min later, still no food.. we called and this point I asked for my order to be refunded back to my card and they said they have no way to do this unless I canceled my order. I have children and wouldn’t be able to fix up something that quickly and asked how long till they get there... she said they are on their way.. 15 min go by, still no food so I called again, very upset at this point and asked to speak with the manager that I spoke with before. Manager gets on and says food is on its way.. 12 min later food arrives.. I am now on the phone as the guy is at my door and tell them I am not signing, that I want my card credited back. They then threaten to call the police for theft so I sign the receipt bc my 5 year old is hungry. Of course the order is messed up and the food is refrigerator cold. Every time I called all they could offer me was 10% off my next order. I told them I would never order from them again.. my husband calls and lets them know the food is cold and incorrect.. that we really just want our order to be credited back to the card. They literally at this point told us that we need to take the food back to the restaurant if we want to receive our money back. So that is exactly what we did. As I am writing this review my husband and son went to return this food bc this place has the worst customer service. One hour and 45 min for delivery, refrigerator cold food, incorrect order.. and we had to take the food back for them to do the right thing. I will be contacting the BBB and posting on every...

Horrible food and I'm being kind. This chinese joint is worst than China Red was. (Previous owner) what else can I say, if you want good Chinese food, you have to drive 20+ miles to different areas of Denver. Just an example, ordered some veggie egg rolls and was served packets of duck sauce with it. Packets of freaking duck sauce.

Asked the counter girl for the pink colored sweet sauce that every chinese restaurant serves with egg rolls. She said, yes we have it but you have to pay for it..... WHAT!!! And she was so rude. Came home and bit into the egg rolls. So gross. I predict this place won't last.

Never again.

UPDATE: Was desperate for some beef chow fun, so reluctantly called on way home today, Oct. 28th and ordered some. Arrived 15 minutes later and noticed a "change" with menu, staff personnel, etc. There is even a "daily special menu" on a miniature chalk board out front next to the counter. Decided to order one of the daily special items too.

Based on my order today, I am thrilled to say, hey neighbors, our local Chinese restaurant has finally gotten new ownership that can actually cook.

Since this restauant opened, I dont know how many years ago, there must have been at least three ownership changes. Finally. I can say, the food is good!. I say this cautiously, because I'd like to return multiple times and try different menu items and then decide "how really good" the change has become. But for this moment, I'm planning on returning next time I want chinese food

The prices are a little higher, about $2 on average, but as long as the food is good I don't mind. So neighbors, just sharing my experience and letting...

I haven't gone there to eat in person yet, but every time I have ordered delivery for two, and once for 4, it's been spot on.

My partner once thought this place was horrible when first moving to Commerce City years ago, and perhaps that was once true; but whatever they've done with their kitchen staff and cooks has apparently completely turned things around after they tried their food lately.

I often get their Chicken with Broccoli but have them make it in a white sauce (which uses garlic) instead of a brown sauce and it's probably some of the best I've had. Some places can't/won't even honor that request, but Big Panda has no problems doing it from the first time I asked.

The Wanton Soup has generous sized dumplings that actually have flavor and the soup is full of other flavorful additions like cabbage and pork strips (and not just a few). I shamelessly judge a place by the quality of their Wanton soup. I also recommend the Wor Wanton if you want additional protein in your Wanton soup (chicken/shrimp).

Their soft noodles aren't the greasy kind and have never tasted heavy of oils to me.

And for those who like it spicy? They are more than willing to add your spice on the side.

Final statement: the crab and cheese wantons are magnificent and I enjoy both their pork and veggie egg rolls (though I lean pork).

I hope they keep up the great work, because I was finding Yum Asian Fusion mediocre at best recently and I suspect people who aren't sorting their reviews by RECENT aren't realizing just how great Big Panda is...
