I was excited to retry this place as we had came the previous weekend and we had enjoyed the food. As we got here we received with a strange smells as soon as we arrived in the front door. Once we ordered I asked for a soda for my kids and she brings them a half liter of soda instead of saying I have other options for kids Then she took our order once our order arrived we were excited to start eating once I took the first bite of the Menudo. I immediately did not like it, and I was respectful and asked the lady if I could respectfully take this off my account because I There for that specific type of food. And she said that there was nothing wrong with my food the rest of her tables or even it and I told her just because another person is eating it or did not complained that does Not mean it was good maybe someone did not want to speak up. I asked her nicely and I told her Pay for something that I would not eat and she regardless charged the account Regardless of the fact, your food was gross. It’s very ridiculous to force a customer to pay for a meal that they were not satisfied with. It’s very unethical and very non-business like you’re supposed to be making your customers happy with the food not upset if your customer simply didn’t like the food you can just say no worries I will take your food back, but they insisted on me having to pay for it. This place is horrible. Everyone was pretty much ready to attack if I didn’t play, which is Very unnecessary now I see why the place is always so empty. Will never go back to this place again zero star review. HORRIBLE FOOD further on checking in all the reviews everyone complained about the same dish that I was complaining about Tried to say that there was nothing wrong with the Menudo, but according to all their past reviews, Everyone complains about the nasty Menudo that they sell. They are trying to push an outstanding price on a very disgusting dish Will not recommend to anyone just look the other way honestly go to a...
Read moreThe Best $1 Tacos You'll Ever Find Okay, so I have to tell you about this spot, San Julian Mexican Restaurant. If you're looking for real-deal Mexican food that doesn't break the bank, this is it. First off, you absolutely have to try their $1 tacos. The al pastor is super flavorful, and the carnitas are a total game-changer—some of the meat is juicy and tender, and the rest is crispy. It's the best of both worlds. Seriously, I don't know how they do it for a dollar, but they're incredible. Then there's the torta de colita de pavo. I'm not even exaggerating when I say this is almost as good as the ones you get in Juárez. The turkey tail is so rich and tender, and it just hits different. It's a must-order. And for all the cheese lovers out there, the quesabirria is a dream. The tortilla is perfectly crispy, the cheese is super gooey, and the beef is melt-in-your-mouth tender. Dip it in the rich consommé, and you're in pure taco heaven. Don't even get me started on the salsitas. They're all made in-house and are the real stars of the show. They have everything from a fiery red one to a fresh green one, and they make every bite pop. San Julian is seriously a gem. It’s the kind of place that proves you don't need fancy prices for amazing food. You'll leave full, happy, and already planning...
Read moreWent in for the first time to have the $1 carnita tacos they serve on Thursdays. I saw a review that someone had wrote that they witnessed one of the servers reuse dirty salsa bowls. That the server cleaned the tables, put away the dirty dishes but noticed that the salsa bowls weren't taken to where the dirty dishes go. She then said she witnessed the server put new salsa over the "used" salsa and serve it to another table...that is absolutely true. That should have been my first hint not to go but I decided to give this restaurant the benefit of the doubt and try it anyway. Because of that review I watched the servers to see if it was true and I personally witnessed it first hand that the girl did exactly as said, she got the salsa container and topped off the old salsa with new one, wiped the sides of the bowls and then served it to a new customer who had just sat down to order. The food looked and smelled great however that is pretty disgusting. I called the waitress out and she insisted it wasn't true but I...
