El Parian Mexican Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Commerce

We always go here for the last two yrs with our family at least every wk.But tonight after working 16 hrs I did not want to cook so I called in a order.When we got it home what mess.The girl who took our order was understanding and got it wrong cause when we got it home it was a mess.Look like it was thru in a foil wrap and crushed.It was not what my husband ordered.Tje taco salad was correct but the other what a mess.Call back down there the lady was so ugly to us and she put a man on the phone cause she knew she messed up.He was only yelling what do you want me to do ,what do you want from me.Wow for someone who just spent 25.80 in your take out to be talked to like this.Come back here and I make you another right order but charge more.Lol no more Dos bro for us I think now.You do not talk to a 100.00 or more each wk customer that way.I really never had a wrong meal or bad meal there but tonight They failed us so we just thru it all out and ate a sandwich.Sorry but so sad over this...

We decided to visit El Parian based on the "glowing" reviews that they have had.

I sincerely do not understand all of the reviews bragging on how friendly the staff is... they are anything but friendly.

They are curt and borderline rude. No smile, no "how are you?"...nothing. We only received a short "how many?" and nothing else.

We didn't stay long enough to try the food since they didn't even say "happy birthday" to our child, and it was beyond clear that we had come to celebrate his day in their restaurant. They even seemed annoyed that we took two seconds to dress up the table with a plastic table cloth.

People must overlook the unfriendly staff because the food has such raving reviews. Although I am quite skeptical of that now. I think a lot of these 5-star reviews have...

We visited on Friday at 5. Plenty of seating available. We did t have to wait long for menus, drinks, or to order. The chips were hard, thuck, and blah and the salsa was too thick/heavy tomato for us. We order a cheese sauce that arrived after our meal (which we sent back). The food was served the same as those who were seated 10+ minutes after us. The food was hot, good portion size, and had a good flavor. We enjoyed the meal. Once we were served no one came back to check on us except to walk by and lay our ticket down and pick up our plates. Good food didn't make up for poor service. We were really hoping it would be good all the way around since they are opening a location on the north side of Banks Crossing. We won't be back and cannot recommend based on...
