Birrieria Gonzalez — Restaurant in Compton

Honestly its been the 1st time I been here in sooooooo long. Back then I thought its was pretty good, the red salsa was fire & spicy. I felt prices were a bit high back then but portion sizes were ok.

NOW inflation got to them. Prices feel too high for items like the Quesadilla I feel is too expensive 10.50 plus tax & portion size aint that great. Tacos quality went down. The consome has no damn flavor its too watered down that the meat didnt absorb any flavor either. The salsa has no spice anymore its as it was just colored red with food dye.

2 out 10 just cuz the horchata has flavor.

Anyone who still says they are the best tacos or birria spot, You all eat unseasoned chicken aswell cuz thays what...

This place is not worth it at all. I've tried different birria places and only came here because my usual spot is closed on Mondays. Never again will I return. The burrito is the size of a taco bell $1 burrito, but they charge $8. It had more rice than meat. The quesataco had no cheese whatsoever. And they charge $3. I bought $44 worth of food and the lady giving out the orders STILL gave me attitude when I asked for extra salsa. Salsa which was just stupid spicy instead of flavorfully spicy. Customer service was terrible I went on a Sunday at 1:30pm. Everyone in the kitchen seemed upset to be there there were at least 10 people ahead of me and the orders were going out extremely slow.The staff had no sense of urgency and the male cook seemed to be the only one making any effort. The burrito was flavorless luckily I ordered the consomé which actually saved the day. Not to mention I had tried to call to place my order for 10min straight with no answer. Maybe this was an off day for everyone but my experience was terrible. I would not recommend this...
