El pollo dorado — Restaurant in Compton

I give them a three star because they have the most terrible customer service in all L.A. County. Everyone, especially the owners granddaughter, has the most stupid teenage attitude of them all, and she's already a woman. Leaving that attitude aside, the chicken is very very delicious 😋 it has soooo much flavor, and it's juicy and tender. The potatoe salad tastes homemade, very tasty too. I'm not a fan of their beans and rice, so I usually just order chicken and potatoe salad. The chicken already comes with tortillas and Salsa. I like the salsa too, it's just a regular tomatoe with serranos salsa. I'll just make beans and rice at home myself. Food has a 5 Star, and I'll even throw in an extra star. Sadly, the owner has to get better people to run that place. The owner herself is very sweet. I don't know why she's not there anymore but it would be nice to see her work her...

2nd time going for my order I placed through doordash and they say they didn't receive any orders. 1st time the girl searched and searched and saw it elsewhere so she apologized and gave me my order. Today a heavier set man I didn't get his name I showed him a screenshot of the order and he said to me I don't see the order and walked away! So my mother went up there since it was placed through her phone and he told her same thing but b4 he could walk away she said either you give my my order, my money or I'll call the police...it took that for him to just provide service and give us our order. Horrible of that man! We come here very often. Their food is great but he makes me not...

I got the whole chicken entree. Image shows what u get for $17.53. The whole chicken is one of those smaller chicken you buy in a plastic bag at the supermarket. You also get 6 tortillas and some watered mild salsa. Chicken tastes pretty good. Not off the grill fresh but stored in oven to keep warm. Salsa was half water and the tortilla is not anything special. Will I repeat? No. Cost too much for what you get. See image. And the customer service is terrible. But i don't think it's a race thing. It feels that THEY are doing you the favor by selling to you their chicken. A shame they don't understand they aren't the only chicken shop in town.
