Tacos El Porton — Restaurant in Compton

My wife and I had a terrible experience here. I ordered carne asada tacos plate and it was super dry with no taste and the meat was all fat very chewy. My wife ordered chicken enchiladas plate and the meat was very chewy as well. They put carrots and celery in the enchiladas which was very different never seen that before and we order enchiladas all the time at every other place and never seen them put carrots or celery in it, DISGUSTING. To top everything off, as we almost get done eating one of the waiters is going around offering there house flan cake dessert and we thought it was a kind gesture when they offered us so we said yes, then all of a sudden we get up and leave a nice tip for them she stops us at the door and says she forgot to charge us for the flan in which she offered us for free. First time there. I have been passing through this restaurant and I finally decided to give it a shoot. I recommend this restaurant for sure. We ordered the molcajete meat,chicken, shrimp, cheese, and jalapeños. Plus tortillas man the flavor is terrific and I really enjoyed my meal. I also tired the menudo it was really good, very flavorful better then “El Infierno” restaurant on Long Beach Blvd. We will be coming back ! Note: they only take cash and prices aren’t on the menu. Maybe I had the wrong meal, Chile verde plate. The tortillas get 6 stars if it was possible, they're amazing!!!! The pork or chile was missing flavor, and refried beans were too runny. The tortillas saved the meal and their hot sauce is made with habaneros that gave flavor to the chile verse. Been here before but I dont recall what I had.
