Short review: Too slow! If you're in a hurry, this is not the McDonald's for you!
Long review: In general, I try to think twice about my fast-food outings. I know it's not the healthiest meal choice...but sometimes I compromise. By the time my brain yields to my tummy, I'm usually cranky and worn down and desperate for hot fries that are salty beyond belief. If this review resonates with you so far, be warned: this is NOT the McDonald's for you. In sad and trying times, you want a McDonald's that will act quickly and with care. Every other McDonald's in the STL area has a chance to satisfy. This location does not. You will wait half an hour in the drive through for one large fry! Trust me, I've lived in the area for over a decade and have run out of chances to give this place. Every time, I say "surely this time they'll crank out my fries" and EVERY TIME they do no such thing.
One time, a couple years ago, I stopped by for a lil treat-yo'self meal. My dad was actively dying in the hospital and I needed to cry in my car while stuffing my face with chicken nuggets. Forty five minutes later, I put down my unfinished fries because they were too cold and hard and I did the crying with just the sub-par nuggets. My dad died later that week and my poor brain is just unstable enough to still connect this lousy location's food failure with the other sad memories of that week.
The only time I got amazing service here was in late May of 2020 when I literally rear-ended the guy in front of me (I was trying to find my wallet on the passenger floor and my foot lifted off the brake), and cried so much that the delightful, angelic woman at the window gave me my food for free (due to my wallet being at my house and not my car đ). I hope that woman is doing great, wherever she is. She's the only reason this review has two stars instead of one.

Store was a mess (trash on the floor, soda spilled all over soda machine, no napkins). Counter worker sauntered up with an ear bud in. When I took a minute to decide he sighed heavily and appeared exasperated to have to wait. After taking my order he walked away before I could pay, pointed to the receipt machine and literally told me, "Grab your receipt from there" and went and talked with the staff in the back. While waiting for 20 minutes, 4 people came in from the drive thru with wrong orders. The lady inside in front of me also had her order wrong, and my order came out wrong (no fries in all 3 Happy meals). The fries were also cold when they got replaced. Finally, also while waiting, the staff in the back were yelling at each other about having to work for longer amounts of time. They were cussing at each other and had little regard for people (and kids mind) who were waiting at the counter with incorrect orders. I haven't felt this uncared for at a restaurant ever. I don't leave negative feedback typically but I memorzied the feedback phone numbered and wanted to be intentional to let you know how bad it was. One of the guys with a wrong order from the drive thru walked by me and said it well, "This place has got A LOT to figure out."    Read moreUsually it is good but this time I waited 20 minutes and got a rubber chicken sandwhich. They forgot to give us one of our beverages the first time too. Update: May 2022- sadly this place has really gone downhill even more. there's a McDonald's half a mile away from me but it's just as bad as the one described above. So I went to the next closest one which is about three miles away, because they have a specific item that someone in my house just can't live without. I get there and the phone app loses my order after they took my money. they gave me the wrong order and claimed they are going to come back and give me the right order after I pull into a parking spot. 20 min later, they never did so I had to drive around again because the doors are locked in the middle of the afternoon and you cannot go inside. The second time I told him what was wrong and what was missing and they said " sorry our machine is broke we cannot make that item right now" so instead of telling me that the first time or not letting me order it in the first place, they wasted about half an hour of my time with nothing to show for it. I think next time somebody asks for specific items at McDonald's I'm just going to tell them they shut down and we have to go somewhere else. thanks for wasting my time.
