Drove almost an hour to have supper here, we were super excited to try it out as the reviews were pretty good. I ordered the Blue Creamy Chicken Gnocchi and he ordered the Pork Chop. We waited close to 30 minutes for our food, and there wasn’t but a table or two when we were there. My food was over cooked, chicken was bland and dry, and it honestly tasted like burnt sugar. His pork chop was so hard he struggled to cut it, shaking the whole table because it was so dry. Our server did not come and check on us or to see how the food tasted, I had to call over a young man who was bussing a table to let him know that the food wasn’t good and overcooked. I told him he could take it because I couldn’t eat it. I had taken only a bite or two of my meal. He took it and a few minutes later our server came over and asked “ Was there something wrong with your food?” And I proceeded to again explain that it was overcooked and tasted like burnt sugar. She then says “Oh, um, well would you just want a free dessert then?” I simply said no. I was appalled that not only did I have to ask to have the food sent back but that she didn’t once ask or offer something to replace my meal, but rather a dessert. And the service was not good. Then she leaves. We both had nothing in front of us other than our drinks. Waited a while for her to bring us our ticket but she never did. So I proceeded to ask another girl working there if we needed to pay up front or if we could get our ticket. She was very polite, and went and got our server who finally brought us our ticket only to find that the food I sent back was still on the ticket. And once again our server was gone. So I then asked another employee working there to please take the food I didn’t eat and had sent back to be taken off. So then some lady comes over, who I would assume was possibly a manager, no introduction, just said to us “So what was wrong with the Blue Cheese Creamy Chicken Gnocchi?” So I explained that I didn’t like it. She then says “Well what didn’t you like about it?” And once again for the 3rd time I explained that it was over cooked, dry and tasted like burnt sugar. She said nothing and went and took off the entree. Worst experience I have had in quite sometime. I was a general manager and ran a very busy, and popular restaurant for years and the most important thing about running a restaurant is service and quality. Mavericks Steakhouse had neither. We were very disappointed and hungry. Wouldn’t recommend eating there.

Visited from out of town. Nice small town restaurant!!! We had a new waiter that did excellent for his first time. We ordered the house salad, shrimp and grits, chips and queso, rum and coke, and on the rocks mango margarita. Queso was superb!!! The portion size for the shrimp and grits was surprising. A lot smaller, like an appetizer, than we thought. House salad was good. Ordered the mango margarita on the rocks, but of brought out as a frozen margarita, which was still great!!! They do offer yuengling, but it was new, and the tap wasn't set up yet. Great atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating.

I ordered a to go order- Not only was the food terrible but half of the shrimp were missing and my childrens order wasn't even there? I went down the list of items I ordered when I picked it up- I was told that everything was included PLUS extra shrimp??? The bag was tied up in a knot so I really couldn't check until I got home. I spent over $80. I currently disputing the charge with Mastercard.

Nice, quiet, new steakhouse in Concordia ks. I went during the afternoon, so they weren't busy. I ordered a dinner salad, steak fillet and Brussels sprouts with bacon jam, and flan. The side salad I received, I recognized dandelion, cucumber, cherry tomatoes and red onion. I'm not sure what the other greens were. It was ok and the dressing was a very rich blue cheese. The fillet was cooked perfectly; medium rare and was very tender. I couldn't tell how it was cooked, because it didn't appear to be grilled. The Brussels sprouts needed to be cooked quite a bit more, but the bacon jam was great. I ordered flan for dessert. What I received was unlike any flan I've ever had but was quite good. Overall my experience was good, the staff was very friendly and the restaurant clean. The prices were fair for a steak restaurant. I will return to try more of the fare (hopefully with friends!), but I'm hoping this restaurant mellows with time and experience, and settles in to be a great experience for their patrons. 4/23. Easter Sunday Brunch. I wasn't best pleased. Scrambled eggs were extremely hard, plain and cold. Sausage gravy too salty. Biscuits were cold and hard. Deviled eggs extremely salty. Corn was cold and plain. The music was extremely loud. I went there with a women's group in February, and the owners were cooking; no hired workers were there. All the food, esp the fried chicken, was excellent. I just think they cannot hire good cooks. Too bad. 6/28/23: Went for a steak dinner with friends. Good appetizer, Poutine. Menu has changed, and unfortunately, with the economy the way it is, prices have increased. Steaks cost quite a bit more, and they dropped one of my faves; asparagus. The steaks were nicely cooked, All the food nice and hot! Service good, but I noticed the waiter was doing triple duty as greeter, server, and busser. Had to be hard. Mavericks has dropped the brunches and shortened their hours. I'm kind if disappointed but not surprised, as they seem unable to hire and keep good cooks, etc. 7/24/25. I haven't visited Mavericks for quite a while so I thought I'd try their ribs and some truffle fries. I arrived shortly after they opened at 4; no one else in the restaurant yet. So took my dinner home. The ribs were very dry. Cooked to fall off the bone, and really tasty, but the meat was so dry! When I cook ribs, I want to ensure they taste delicious, meat falling off the bone, and Not Dry, so I find a way to cook them to be very moist. The truffle fries, also very rich and tasty, but most of them were either burned or dried out; inedible. Unfortunate for my first time trying truffle fries. So unfortunately I won't be ordering their ribs again, and I'll think twice before I order truffle fries again. As I usually say, try for yourself; maybe you'll get a better...

Lyle and I would like to give a A++++++ and THANK YOU so MUCH for our Maverick Steakhouse's OUTSTANDING THANKSGIVING MEAL special!!!!! The meal was absolutely 100% super delicious with everything offered (16-18 lb. turkey, Mashed potatoes w/gravy, Stuffing, Green Bean casserole, Corn casserole, 24 homemade rolls and a huge pumpkin pie.) ALL the dishes were precooked to perfection accompanied with very detailed "warm up" cooking instructions except the pie which didn't need warmed up but was just as delicious. In placing our order the service was AWESOME. We made a couple of phone calls and each person we visited with was so helpful and answered our questions. We want to emphasize how much EVERYONE in our family as well as our two International Students present ENJOYED their meal and it was so STRESS FREE!!!! We had plenty for anyone present to enjoy "second" helpings too!! YOU went out of your way... And it was OUT of this WORLD! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for the BEST EVER THANKSGIVING meal together ** Marcia...
