Ice House Pizzeria & Grille — Restaurant in Conneaut Lake

June 27, 2020: Our first time trying this new place in town. We heard wonderful things about this place and we were excited to try it out. We waited 2 1/2 hours, which I didn’t care. We ordered one of this weekends speciality pizzas, Chicken ranchero pizza. We got there and the order was wrong. We simply asked for a refund because it was going to take another 30 to 45 minutes to remake it. They said that they couldn’t give us a refund because they had already started to make a new one. So, did you know that you made our order wrong before we walked out of the building?? When confronted, she blamed us for ordering the pizza wrong because we didn’t say no steak, but we ordered the chicken pizza? So does steak come on a chicken pizza as well? Needless to say, we walked out with no refund and no pizza. I don’t recommend this place.

EDIT: Sad and miserable owner. Jokes on you, nothing blew up in my face. As you can tell on the Facebook thread, the ticket clearly says Pd.(Paid) and somehow steak was written after my original order and then crossed out. Such a weirdo for lying. Accept your mistake and move on with your miserable life. I truly do feel bad for you.

My sister and I had a great lunch here. The staff are all super helpful and the owner took a few minutes to make every customer feel extra appreciated! These things alone would have guaranteed a return trip, but the food was all delicious! I had the chicken wings and zucchini sticks (planks would better describe them) and my sister ordered the Authentic Greek Gyro and Wisconsin Cheese Bites. My sister's favorite sandwich is a gyro and she said this one was BY FAR the best she's had, not only was the meat rich and flavorful but the Cucumber Tzatziki Sauce was the perfect topping to add some freshness to an otherwise typically heavy sandwich. I really enjoyed the Buffalo Wings, but I will order them extra crispy next time to stand up better in the sauce. The sauce itself was very good too! A perfect blend of spice and savor. And the zucchini sticks were an awesome accompaniment for them. We finished our meals with some desserts to go and we're equally impressed with those as with our lunch. Tried calling for 30 minutes straight. 4:45 pm on a Saturday. Being busy is an understandable hindrance but not answering the phone for that long is ridiculous. At least pick up the phone and tell us it's a long wait.

Edit: First of all, I have the right to give you a bad review. How hard is it to set up an answering machine informing customers that you are closed. In addition, Google says you are open and facebook does say you are open demonstrated in the picture attached. If facebook is so important, why did you respond to this review so fast but neglect to respond to my mother who messaged your company directly. Responding to my review with insults and slander is unprofessional. It appears you are quite insecure and respond in a similar fashion to all of your low reviews.

Also if your "real news" includes facebook as an outlet, that's a red flag on its own. Your response was petty and failed to look at the resources you claimed I didn't resort to. Your inability to find workers will not gain any sympathy from me and depending on who you voted for, it could very well be...
