Every so often, maybe once every year or so, we go to red lobster to see if they improve as a company, the answer still remains no, just like the past several years, going to different branches, the problems stay the same. The shrimp in the scampi is skimpy, the lobster is just a little bigger than a prawn, the snow crab legs were not flushed and had black rotted meat in the palm plus the meat tasted burnt, how they managed to burn boiled food i haven’t figured it out. We had them make oyster scampi because they couldn’t cook the oysters in the shell, the oven isn’t big enough, plus we ordered shrimp linguine, needless to say it was dry, the plates were burning hot but that did nothing for the food, everything in my plate was cold, the potatoe was undercooked, but 100% of the rest of the seafood was cold, it was like they got a hot plate and hoped it would heat up the food. The employees were nice enough, the manager was missing, i don’t really think any was on staff because they didn’t make any effort to visit the patrons, not once, so basically if there was a manager on duty, no one knew. The place was empty, very few customers, at least we know why, poor food and no management, we still tipped our waiter 20% , he tried, so at least there is that. I would recommend people still avoid red lobster, they have become less than worthy of being called a seafood restaurant.

My husband and I died at the Conroe red lobster yesterday, Tuesday, 26 August. We sat in a bar booth and were approached by a friendly gentleman. Upon greeting us, he told us his name was Troy and that he would get us our menus. After he brought him back, he was very professional and pulled out each leaf and told us what each leaf was regarding in the menu. He pointed out specialties and suggested dishes that he thought were good. I’ve been to red lobster many times, but this is the first time I kind of felt like I was in a five star restaurant. I asked him about the two different crab legs and his explanation gave me a clear visual of the one I wanted, the Bairdi crab + $5. I ordered it with the Parmesan old bay sauce so delicious. Troy refilled our drinks and checked on us a couple of times throughout our meal. I would definitely ask for him the next time I go.

Red Lobster fare is about what you would expect in terms of selection, quality and price, but what makes this Red Lobster special is the friendly staff, attention to detail and kindness exhibited by everyone we saw tonight. Our server, Krista, is an absolute delight, very focused on getting your order right, paying attention to what you want, and delivering top notch service! For example, we ordered specific diner salads and this young lady made them to exactly what we requested, as she said, she 'wanted them to be perfect', and while you can't tell from the photo I am uploading, she achieved her goal. We have dined here a few times before, the restaurant (and all of its facilities) is always clean, the temperature is just right and the wait isn't too long. When you want franchise seafood and are nearby, come to this one and you won't be disappointed.

We showed up early for our reservation and were seated quickly. The restaurant was fairly empty; however, it was clean, and the staff seemed friendly. Our waiter Kyle was fairly slow with our service despite our table being his only table in his section. From drinks to our food and even our check, we continued to have issues and delays over the 2 and a half hours we spent at the restaurant. I could understand a wait if they were busy. But when we were his only table 10-15 minutes for waters is a bit excessive. Our appetizers were slow, and our cheddar Bay biscuits took roughly 30 minutes to come out; however, they were good with no real complaints. The bulk of our food issues occurred with the dinner course that showed up almost an hour after our appetizers. The food came out cold, missing several items, and the proverbial cherry on top: one dish had hair in the food. The cold food was verified by our waiter running his hands through each of the crab legs individually to confirm their temperature at the table before taking it back. Thus started our attempts to flag down our flighty waiter and have the dishes corrected/replaced. To his credit, Kyle tried his best to stay upbeat about the situation. After having the manager, Ashley Rodgers, step in to have things corrected. We finally received most of our corrected food right about the 2 hour mark. The check took another 15 or so minutes, which we didn't mind as the last of our food had not come out yet. After getting our last dish to go and paying our bill, we left. Ashley really did her best to make it better, but I don't believe we will be coming to this location for some time.

TLDR: 4 people+4 dinners= 2.5 hours of slow service and...

I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but I had such a negative experience during my recent visit to the Conroe Red Lobster that I feel obligated to say something — especially regarding a server named Elizabeth Santos.

From the moment she came to the table, her attitude was cold, dismissive, and honestly just rude. She made us feel like we were a burden just for being there. I’ve had my fair share of bad service, but this was on a whole different level. Elizabeth acted like she had somewhere better to be the entire time, barely looked us in the eye, and was incredibly short when we asked basic questions about the menu. There was no warmth, no customer service skills — just straight-up attitude.

The worst part? When we politely mentioned an issue with our order, she rolled her eyes and walked off mid-sentence. It was shocking and made everyone at the table uncomfortable. I’ve never had a server behave that way. It felt like she wanted to pick a fight instead of help.

I’m not one to judge someone’s appearance, but presentation does matter in hospitality — and she looked visibly disheveled and unprofessional, like she had just rolled out of bed and didn’t want to be there. It made the whole experience feel even more chaotic.

I left feeling disrespected, disappointed, and honestly kind of shocked. Red Lobster is supposed to be a place where people come to enjoy a nice meal, not get treated like an inconvenience.

Management — please pay attention. If you care about your guests and your restaurant’s reputation, something needs to be done about this. I will not be returning to this location until there’s some...

If I could give zero stars, I would. The most recent experience was really stopping by on a whim to enjoy a night out. We arrive and are seated promptly. Order two drinks, one of which tasted like straight margarita mix, the other was fine. Proceeded to order food - one rainbow trout the other admiral's feast. Food took a bit but salads arrived fine. Food arrived, rainbow trout tasted good, but all of the crab was dead cold. Manager stops by to ask how things are and I say all of the crab is dead cold, like it was in the fridge. I even have her touch all of the crab and she agrees and is upset. Then apologizes and says she'll take care of it. While that food is taken tons of hair is found while eating the trout. Waitress comes back.... plate looks like the same food that was taken away. I proceed to ask if it was and she says yes the manager told them to cook it again. I ask why would they do that... if its cooked once it sits there steaming and sits long enough to get cold, now you cook it again till it turns to rubber and reserve it? Especially after your manager was holding all of the food in her hands..... Then the hair having to be fished out of your mouth from the trout was brought up. I then said I dont want any of it and the manager comes and says we will only have to pay for our drinks. I said thats fine, but why would you even suggest that not charging me for food I didnt eat because of its preparation is a favor? Or having to fish hair out of your mouth? How do I get the time I wasted back?

Morale of the story is I guess if you eat here stick to the biscuits and salad and you'll be...
