Rude! I really love the inventory at this location, however I experienced an extremely rude associate today. I could list her first name name but will only include her first initial (K.) in hopes that this review alone will motivate her to fix her attitude when working with any type of client/customer. I had an issue trying to use a virtual card (via Samsung Pay). It kept declining. I tried about three times to no avail. So I politely asked if I could leave my items at the register (so that I wouldn't hold up the customers behind me). The associate rolled her eyes and replied with a smug "Yeah". I asked "Is it a problem for me to leave my items here while I step aside to sort this situation out?" She rudely replied "No, I just have to re-scan the items when you come back". So I kept my composure and said "Ok, thank you I'll be right back" She sighed, rolled her eyes again and said "Umm, ok"(as if I were lying, I'm sure it's on video). I stepped aside (but remained in the store) to sort out my situation and then got back in line. I went to her register and she immediately began to ring up my items very indifferently/non-chalantly.
It was already embarrassing enough to have my card declined(not her fault, plus I knew there was plenty of money in the account), but to be treated poorly because of it took things up a notch.
I guess she thought that this black girl had no money and was trying to make a purchase she couldn't afford. I'm not calling her racist. However, her mannerisms and body language were very classist, and racist in nature.
I used to work in retail(clothing, prestige makeup brands) as well as fast food service and understand that it can be tough. But, I always treat people how I wanted to be treated irrespective of their race, class, beliefs, sexual orientation, etc) it costs nothing to be kind. I have carried that soft skill and professionalism over into my business and tech career as well.
Everyone has a bad day and maybe this was one of them for her.
I hope that she sees this review and upgrades her attitude. Don't look at people through a societal/stereotypical lens.
I will not be a returning customer to this...
Read moreNever ever been treated so badly by an employee. I went into TJ maxx to try on some new clothes. I range between a L and XL because I have recently lose some weight. I choose 14 items to try on, and several are the same shirts just in different sizes. I was greeted by Sue, who works there and she told me only ten were allowed in the changing room, and since I had 14 I had to leave 4 outside. no problem, I went in and begun trying on things. I can overhear her talking to other coworkers “did you see how much clothes he brought it? I can’t believe he got a shirt in each size.” I thought nothing of it, eventually 5 things fit, and I needed to give her the 9, she exclaims, “well what am I supposed to do with this?? Why did you bring so many?” I have never ever been treated this poorly, as a customer coming in to buy clothes, Sue was incredibly rude and disrespectful. I will never ever be back here again. If you don’t want to put the clothes back, why are you...
Read moreThis store is probably the worst TJ Maxx I have ever stepped foot in. The manager gets upset at customers for no apparent reason. Wants to keep items for herself instead of selling the items to help make her store succeed. She is very rude and could use some training.
I asked the cashier for the store manager’s name to which she claimed she didn’t know her name. Once I asked again she gave a fake name then told the cashier next to her that that she had given me a fake name.
The ride manager’s name is Donna, which her tag read store manager. There is something wrong that picture. I’ll add the cashier’s name once I find the receipt. I will not return. Shop with caution!
I wish I didn’t have to rate any stars. They don’t...
