There's a certain magic that happens when you stumble upon a hidden gem in your own city. That's exactly what happened to me when I discovered ceviche house a cozy Peruvian restaurant nestled in the heart of wetherbee and Southchase.
From the moment I stepped inside, I was transported to a warm and inviting atmosphere. The walls adorned with vibrant artwork, the aroma of spices filling the air, and the lively chatter of fellow diners – it felt like a little piece of Lima had landed right in my neighborhood.
But the real magic began with the food. As a self-proclaimed seafood enthusiast, I was immediately drawn to the Pulpo a la Parrilla – grilled octopus. This dish is not for the faint of heart, but for those seeking a bold and satisfying flavor experience. The octopus was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, with a smoky char from the grill. The accompanying sauce, a blend of aji amarillo (yellow chili) and lime, provided a bright and refreshing counterpoint to the smoky flavors. Each bite was an explosion of textures and tastes, a symphony of Peruvian culinary prowess.
Beyond the octopus, the menu boasted a diverse array of Peruvian classics. The Lomo Saltado, a stir-fry of marinated beef, onions, and tomatoes, was a true delight, with its savory and tangy flavors. The Aji de Gallina, a creamy chicken stew with aji amarillo and walnuts, was another standout, offering a comforting and satisfying experience.
The service was warm and friendly, making me feel like a valued guest , ask for Eric and Angie . They were knowledgeable about the menu, and happy to answer any questions I had about the dishes.
If you're looking for a taste of Peruvian comfort food, Ceviche House is a must-try. It's a place where you can enjoy delicious food, experience a warm and inviting atmosphere, and discover a new culinary adventure in the heart of...
Read moreI take my google reviews very seriously that is why i am rewriting for this resturant. I had reviwed this place prior to heading there because of the customer service I expericenced on the phone (which was the music playing loud in the back ground interfering our communicaton when i was trying to place an order and which i had experssed that to them and it wasnt properly dealt with (they was not willing to put the volume down for a sec or step outside so i can hear clearly) that rubbed me the wrong way so i decided to not place an order but left a 1 star review about their custmer service. BUTTT My friends and I really wanted to try peruvian food for the frirst time so i went there in person to place a take out order i was kinda of annoyed walking in. When i went in i found them to be the compelete opossite of the impression they gave me on the phone! The resurant was very cute, small clean and cosy. The family were extremely nice and friendly, the sever guide me to 10/10 dishes we all truly enjoyed! Its shocking how i came in annoyed and walked out all smiles that i even left some tip! I am most defintly going to vist agian and again. I live not that far from the place! I RECOMMAND EVERYONE TO TRY!! Moral of the story is i judge the place by my first verbal interaction i had. It was a learning experiace in my behalf. I Left 4/5 because I believe they could improve their phone customer service and being consistent (Tip of the day "custmore is always "right" words from my...
Read moreBAD SERVICE!!!!! This is my second time visiting this place under a recommendation. The first time the service and food was great but on this visit the restaurant change the staff and the experience was horrible. They forgot to place one of the orders and when i asked one of the waiters regarding the order he told me that “to be honest they have forgotten the order and that he recommended to cancel the order because it was going to take long” he wasn’t even the person that took our order. This upset me and decided to request the check. Gabby our waitress brought us the check which did not had the tip charge included but when I gave her my card for the payment to be process and she came back with the receipt to sign she had added the tip without my approval of the 18% of the bill. She then said that she had given me a discount on the bill of the plate that I had cancelled not that they forgotten to place, how I’m I going to give her the tip if actually the service that was really bad and so that is when I had to call the manager so she could remove the TIP charge that was done without my authorization. I am not asking for anything for free but I think that if they don’t change their staff for other that really know customer service they will loose a lot...
