Paid almost $45 for 2 people. Their combinations are far too expensive. They give you one entree and protein. That's it.
In PR I get the same, plus fries or tostones and the rice amount is pretty hefty. And it doesn't go over $12. I know I'm not in PR but why are all these chinese-caribbean restaurants charging so much for a combination and not including all the items that are usually included? Cmon now.
The taste of the rice was good, but I didn't enjoy the ribs much, they didn't have that much sauce pooled in the foam as usual so I can use it to add it on my rice. It's delicious, but that's just a me thing. I was gonna get fries and then i got suggested tostones. But they werent the usual garlic tostones. I didnt like them they were dry and bland, no salt. The garlic dipping on the side wasnt it, they need to upgrade and make garlic tostones how they make them in PR and they'll succeed. The service was great and I enjoyed the drinks were all the same price tho maybe it's a bad thing cause idk how much they charged me for them if it got up to $45....
Read moreWaaaay to pricey. $19 for what in other places is 12.
I bought a Pepper Steak order. I told them no vegetable. She tells me if I want double portion. I say ok because sometimes they give you less.
This is puertorican chinesse. Part of the deal is that you always get HUGE portions. When my food was served I couldn't believe it. It was a cup of rice, and what was a small portion of meat. And THIS was supposed to be double meat. I shiver thinking how little food it was going to be had I not said double the meat.
You would not have this problem in Puerto Chino or Chino Rico. The portiond are what is expected. This feels like you were robbed.
Now, the food taste good. No problem there.
Another awful thing is they have all the dirty dishes in a side of the restsurant for people to put them there and it is horrible.
I read the owners respond to the same complaints saying they are going to look into the matter, but is clear they dont. Just go...
Read moreWent in today for the first time,I really enjoyed the food,it was honestly very delicious but I do have a few complaints. I got the chicken with rice and beef lo mein with extra beef, they did not taste puertorrican at all and the portions aren't comparable even when getting extra, same for the price as this is not worth 30$!!. A thing I want to really speak on is their customer service, they weren't rude but they were not friendly either. Ordering the food was just uncomfortable and didn't really make me want to go back at ALL.
To finalize, customer service was bad, food was delicious and pricing is too expensive for the portions and quality of the food and for what I see in the reviews they copy/paste the same reply to most of these,I should have trusted the bad reviews.
Edit:forgot to say that to be based on puertorrican food,I didn't see any puertorrican employees when I came in and nobody...
