My husband and I ate here for the first time. It was an exceptional experience from a to z! We came at lunch time on a weekday. There's a little outdoor seating which also features an older man sitting on a life-size horse. I found out he's a family member in Mexico who inspired family members to do this restaurant. You'll also find lots of indoor seating. When we walked in, we were struck by the beautiful ambience: tasteful furniture and colors plus plenty of contemporary artwork. I hope my photos convey the beauty of the place. I've taken thousands of restaurant photos. I believe I've taken more photos here today then anywhere else I've visited.
They have a separate room with a beautiful bar and lots of seating. I didn't order any alcohol so I can't comment on that aspect. There's also a VIP room for a small group wanting some privacy. This is a good sized restaurant.
Service was prompt and super friendly thanks to Catherine, our server, and some other support staff. She was super helpful. The generous basket of chips plus salsa were delicious. We automatically got mild and hot salsa.
This restaurant features a large menu of choices. My special diet needs were accommodated beautifully. I had the beef fajitas. My husband had the daily (bargain at $9.50!) special of two beef enchiladas, plus generous rice and beans. Everything tasted fantastic! We eat a lot of Mexican food as we live in Tucson. My husband said his meal was one of the best Mexican food dishes he's had in a long time. My fajitas were full of beautifully seasoned beef with onions and peppers, along with a heaping serving of all the accoutrements that you put on a tortilla. We walked away very satisfied and with enough left overs for another meal for two. I heartily recommend El Charro Beer in Pinetop! This new restaurant is eager to please and they earned my loyalty and respect for all...
Read moreFood is ok, nothing extraordinary or anything but for sure one of the better Mexican food locations in town now. Stick with the Mexican food though, pasta and mozzarella sticks were so wrong. A bit overpriced for what you get. Have been there 2x and are at 100% unsuccess rate of getting appetizers at a reasonable time. First visit they were brought out after we had already had our meals and were waiting for the bill. Second time it was brought out 5 mins after we started eating... Atmosphere is bananas. It's like 3 different vibes all threw up everywhere in there and all I can think about is how much dust all the fake plants everywhere are going to collect, especially with all the sizzling fajitas about. But now I can say with confidence I would know what it would be like to live in...
Read moreI visited this place twice in 1 week as everyone wanted to try the new place in town. The restaurant is decorated great and has a great ambiance. The wait staff was friendly and served us quickly. The salsa was amazing and I could go back just for that. Sadly the food had no flavor or spice whatsoever. Bland. Both times and all people with me agreed. The margaritas were your typical from a mix marg. I had high hopes. In AZ they will need to do better on mexican food quality because there are far too many better places with decent mexican. Hopefully they get some native mexican cooks soon. This was like someones idea of mexican from the midwest. I wanted to love it because the decor was so cool. But the food is just not very...
