My husband and I ate here for the first time. This restaurant is only about 3 weeks into operation. We enjoyed the beautiful Asian-feel ambience. Despite the pouring rain outside the luncheon customers quickly filled up 3/4 of the dining room. Our server was warm and friendly. He helped us choose two excellent meals. My husband enjoyed his hibachi steak which came with grilled vegetables, fried rice, yummy sauce, and a salad with a delicious, creamy ginger dressing. I had the hibachi salmon. Both choices provided around 4.5 oz of steak or salmon. We also ordered a California roll. Because I don't do dairy and it had cream cheese in it they substituted another ingredient instead of the dairy. Much appreciated. The whole staff was very friendly as I walked around and took photos. The two sushi chefs hammed it up, giving me a thumbs up and beaming smiles. I think fun personality in restaurant staff is terrific. We had an excellent experience dining there and will certainly go back. Their menu has plenty of sushi options as well as hibachi and other cooked food options. For the vegetarians and vegans reading this, the hibachi choices also included a mixed vegetable option. Just make sure to get the fried rice without egg and ask what's in the yummy sauce if you are pure vegan. I think it may have mayonnaise which has egg. I wish this new establishment a long and prosperous existence, pleasing the hearts and palates of every customer walking through their doors. (Note: any information or photos related to Mexican food are from the former restaurant and do not apply to NEKO.)

As a discerning connoisseur of Asian cuisine, particularly Japanese and Korean fare, my standards are uncompromising, honed by years of savoring my husband’s superlative Japanese home cooking and our time in a cosmopolitan hub brimming with exceptional dining options. It is with measured enthusiasm that I declare this establishment the finest purveyor of Japanese cuisine within a three-hour radius, a rare gem that excels in capturing the delicate, nuanced flavors of traditional Japanese dishes while infusing them with a distinctive, innovative flair. The presentation was nothing short of exquisite, each dish meticulously plated with an artistry that rivaled its taste—though, in my eagerness to indulge, I regretfully neglected to capture its visual splendor properly. The menu’s offerings were executed with precision, balancing authenticity with a creative edge that elevated the experience. My sole critique, if I must offer one, is the absence of a robust tempura vegetable roll, a personal favorite that would have completed the meal. Yet, this minor omission scarcely detracts from the triumph of their culinary prowess. The service was impeccable, attentive without being intrusive, and the pricing remarkably reasonable for such caliber. This restaurant is a revelation, and I will undoubtedly return to savor its offerings again. Edit: second time here this is the next day after my first time. I’m pretty sure this is like Filipino, Japanese, Korean fusion maybe? Still excellent just taking note

Exceeded our expectations - but just keep in mind they are still working through a few bumps... they just opened wiring the last couple of weeks. Walking in, aside from the cool decor and vibe, were the cloud panels in the ceiling lights. Super cool - I've never seen that before. Service was good. Sheila was really helpful and confirmed that we'd made some great selections. She kept an eye on us and frequently returned to see if we needed anything else. Great attitude and asset to this crew! We went full on sushi. While we realize we aren't on an ocean we always reset our expectations accordingly - but - from the hamachi (super tender, fresh and generous) to our rolls - I was super pleased. The New York roll, with the crispy salmon skin, is a recommendation. I haven't seen this on a menu in quite a while and the chef served a great one. We also had the Neko and a spicy tuna that we fantastic. I have to mention the cocktail menu - holy cow - seriously... you will be pleased if you like a wide variety.

I am not one to share my experiences of a restaurant, but my wife and I thought it would be important to support this new gem in our community.

Ruby's New Mexican Kitchen is outstanding! My wife and I have eaten at Ruby's a half dozen times and each and everytime it has been over the top.

Saturday night I had a New Mexican 14oz ribeye steak. Steak cooked perfect, had melted pepperjack cheese then smothered with Hatch green chile. OMG! The best steak I have had in 20 years. My wife had the stacked blue enchiladas stuffed with cheese and filet mignon and topped with an egg, to die for. Sides for both were chef's Hatch chile beans and calabacitas, again over the top.

Wife and I and several friends that we invited had breakfast Sunday morning, cannot get enough. Once again great friendly service. Very attentive, always smiling and always making us feel like family.

I had egg rancheros with what they call Christmas sauce outstanding. My wife had a carnitas and egg chimi with Christmas sauce, the chef really over did himself all my wife could say a work of culinary art. Our friends were just as impressed and amazed.

Each and everytime we have been over pleased. We would encourage our community and visitors to please try it for yourself and you will not regret it. Wait fish Friday is the best fish on the mountain hands down. I had this 2 weeks ago.

Most likely you will meet Chef as he goes around to meet all his customers, very friendly as well and goes out of his way to make you feel at home. Very experienced gentleman.

GREAT food, GREAT wait staff. PLEASE support them and give them a shot you will not regret it! The only negative that I saw for the 1st time was a gentleman waiting tables this past Sunday very chaotic and non friendly, rid of him. never seen him before maybe just helping, but not a good mix. Otherwise OUTSTANDING 5 stars...
