This place use to have great food. But for the last 3 years it's has been gross. I have tried almost everything on their menu and each thing is worst then the last one, I have never bought a (Agua Fresca) horchata, sandia, pina ect. cause the whole idea of them handling money, then not washing there hands before serving the drink, you can see it drip out of the cup into their hand and back in the whole (Jarra) pitchers of the drink. that's pretty filthy considering This use to be my favorite place to eat. They also use the same OIl grease to cook all the food through out the day today was the last time ill ever order food from there because The Torta de carne asada i ordered was hard recooked meat with a piece of bone i spit out on the second bite then not even half way threw i noticed an unusual soft gooey unlike meat taste so i grabbed it out of my mouth and it was something white and brown that you can tell is not food and i started throwing up. The left over meat and grease they cook they do not throw away , almost as if they slide it to the side of the grill and save it to use for the next thing they cook because my husbands sandwich he complained that you can taste on the piece of ham the different types of meat with the black smudges of old grease on the ham and cheese just gross . Its sad to make a review like this about a place i use to love but after these last couple of visits and their food quality how its come to be enough is enough. If you decide to go eat here you might have a better experience but make sure you check the food...
Read moreA few months ago I went to this Taqueria. My experience was so great, this place is one of my regular places to drop in for a quick bite. The setting is super casual with clean tables a large paper towel rolls in each table. The sitting area has a cart which freshly made sauces, which are delicious. The taqueria has a large menu ranging from tacos, menudo, soups burritos and much more. They also make their own flavor drinks like orchata, a rice milk drink with cinnamon and in this case lots of sugar. Very tasty. I personally love the carne asada which is grilled and sliced beef. They are served on a corn tortilla you can have them usually garnished with onion, cilantro, tomato and lettuce. They always come with lemon wedges. My mouth is watering as I write. To Top them off you can add any of 3 sources, red hot, red mild and their green tomatillo sauce. I love them all. The tacos are delicious and their prices ate unbeatable. The taqueria is always busy which is good sign. Once your order in the wait is usually about 5/8 minutes. The staff is very friendly. The one low point is that they do not accept other form of payment except Cash. But, I can always scrabble $1.25 for...
Read moreAlmost everything I tried here wa excellent. The service also leaves nothing to complain about. They got my order right and brought it to our table. That may seem like faint praise, but getting orders right is not as common as it should be. My favorite tacos are here barbacoa, lengua, asada, and carnitas. We ate our food in the clean dining area. The tacos are my favorite thing on the menu, and the gorditas are delicious. The salsa is optional, all three have a nice bite, hot but not overly, but tasty and distinctive.
The aguas frescas are also delicious. I had horchata and watermelon fresca!!
It's a small restaurant. If you want to sit down, try coming at an off hour. You still might not get a seat, but it will increase your chances. It's possible to drive behind the building, from one parking area to the next, which sometimes makes it easier to get out of the frequently tight...
