Hello all, I work for Kraft Heinz. Have for just over 34 years. After reading some of the reviews and seeing the pictures, there's something you need to understand. There are TWO businesses on this property. The tan, older looking building on the North is KRAFT-HEINZ. The new, large grey building on the South is CJ LOGISTICS. They put up a sign that says Kraft Heinz. But it's the buffer warehouse of CJ Logistics. Kraft Heinz is an APPOINTMENT ONLY FACILITY. Our main inbound delivery hours are 6:30am to 13:30 (1:30pm) if you come after 1:30pm you may have a wait as the second shift is barely a skeleton crew at best, as is the night shift. We don't typically schedule live loads to be unloaded in the evening or overnights. If your late or very early we do everything we can to accommodate you but NOT guaranteed. Typically we are very busy. Just because every single dock door is not in use, does not mean we are not busy. Not all doors are functioning doors anymore. Come in be polite and respectful and we will be polite and respectful back to you. Please be patient, the people in the windows know you are there. Give them a few minutes to finish what they are doing. FYI Kraft distribution OUTBOUND shipping (tan building) typically averages around 7 outbound loads each day +/-. THE VERY LARGE MAJORITY GO OUT OF CJ LOGISTICS. Easily 99%. I'd recommend you check there first (The grey building door 195) that will help keep you from making a tight turn around and going back there if you come to the K-H tan building first. When picking up Outbound loads you should always check in at the Grey building first. It's just easier, trust me. We appreciate that your time is valuable and we do our best. Thank you! Pics show the Receiving/Outbound DC door you CHECK IN at, Never back into any dock door before you check in. Head up the green stairs thru the green door. Straight thru the blue door. Then to the to the right to the double window for Receiving inbound. Or IMMEDIATELY left behind the blue door to the left of the water fountain for Distribution Shipping Outbound Pickup.
When checking in to unload raw materials you will be told the following: Break your seal. (This should be checked and verified by security already. Please throw it in trash or on the tail of the trailer) Open the doors SLIDE your Tandem Wheels all the way back. This is very important as some items are tall and easy to tip over or slide off the pallet when unloading. If you cannot slide them, you might not get unloaded. Back into the door number you will be given at that time by the person at the desk. Door numbers are shown up near the top of the building above the doors. Once the light changes to Red and we unload you and it goes back to Green. Come back inside for your signed bills. Thank-you! Safe travels out there Also, there is a restroom and vending machines in there as well. The machines take cash or something called Pay Range, it's an app you can put cash on and pay with your phone. We all use that. Much better than carrying cash and it works even if the cash part is broken. Definitely recommend the PayRange app. I forgot to mention that the entrance is on Mattis Ave. There is NO semi entrance on Bradley. Your BOL may say 1701 W. Bradley or 1702 or other, but actual Semi entrance and exit are at 702-710 N. Mattis Ave at the stop light near AutoZone and The Auto body shop. One way in, one way out. If your bringing in packages or pallets of items to be unloaded AND you ONLY HAVE 6 pallets or LESS you should go to door 80 for our mail, parcel, LTL type unloading. If no one is around, there is a number listed to call and someone will be with you shortly.7-15-25 We (Receiving) have been just slammed lately with inbound live unloads. We apologize, but we are working as fast and safely as possible. We do not make the schedule, we just unload the trucks. Please be...
Read moreYet again this place has screwed me. Arrived at 1:30 pm for a 3 pm pick up. In to dock as soon as I checked in. Load isn’t ready yet they said so don’t turn reefer on. Ok no big deal. 3 pm appointment so load should be ready then you would think. 7:43 pm still not started loading. Went in to check status. Oh it looks like they’ve just finished picking your load. You should be one of the next trucks to start loading. 8:30 pm. Still not even got a red light yet. Late now for a Walmart delivery. Now delivery will have to be rescheduled. Which costs me my next two loads at $3750.00. And all I’m going to get for it is $35 an hour detention time. Don’t come here unless you like wasting your time and your paycheck.
Update on review.
After waiting forever and trying to get delivery rescheduled for later in day they’ve cancelled the load. Can’t get delivery rescheduled till Monday and we aren’t sitting on this load all weekend. They did finally start loading me and got it done about the time we pulled off it. So I went in and told them you’ve wasted 9 1/2 hours of my time we aren’t taking it now so get it off now. Then they called me and said oh well you didn’t wait for me to tell you your load is done. I told them I don’t care get it off. The load is cancelled because we aren’t sitting on it all weekend. I’m loading someplace else now and I need to leave. They hung up on me.
Update. Been here for 17 1/2 hours now. They were told at 9:45 last night the load is canceled get it off. It is now 6:54 am and it’s still on here. First they say oh we have to have the broker call us because you telling us isn’t good enough. Then at midnight they say they haven’t received phone call so I got a phone number and broker called them. 4:30 am oh no we have to have email confirmation. So broker emailed them. 5:30 am broker calls them back because I call them and say hey I’m still waiting so something about it. Oh we don’t have any email from you. So broker emailed again and called them back immediately and said check your mail. Oh yes we have it we will unload it right away. 7:00 am they haven’t...
Read moreIf you care about your driver's, your equipment and how efficiently you operate to make money, stay away from here. Take your appointment time and add 6-7 hours minimum to know when you will leave. This place does NOT abide by their own appointments, and could care less how much they cost carriers/drivers. This place is NOT a carrier/driver friendly place. (Obviously this company does not see the need to help improve their process so their product can be delivered in a timely matter) The places these loads go to are just as bad. Also they load extremely heavy, especially with reefer units. If you pick-up from here I would add at least a $1000.00 (when I say at least I mean it. You are probably going to experience bigger losses than that) more to an already $3.40 rate per mile, to make up for your lost time/revenue you are going to experience not only here, but also to at their customers' place of business. Because of the delays in getting out in a reasonable time, you will more than likely miss the appointment time set up by their customers. One of the reasons I am not a fan of Kraft products. UPDATE; They flat out lied telling the Broker we were in and out in 2 hours. I replied to the Broker that they were outright liars, and this is not my first rodeo with these people. Any "POSITIVE" reviews posted on here when it comes to transportation, is either a totally different area, the Kraft food shipping/receiving employees getting on here doing the old "CYA", "friends of friends" or those people were blessed by Jesus Christ in getting a worthy shipping/receiving employee that actually does their...
