LongHorn Steakhouse — Restaurant in Kendall

If I could give zero stars I would, my boyfriend and I were sat directly by the kitchen which I initially had no issue with I’m not picky with tables. however, it started to become an issue when I noticed all of the trash and grime anywhere I glanced in the back of the kitchen. There were about three employees standing by the kitchen where servers come in and out of. ( mind you I worked in the restaurant business for a year and am very familiar with the simple practice of yelling or even just saying “ corner! “ obviously to avoid accidents but that was never said instead I watched people run into each other spilling food and drinks and just laugh ) and the three employees taking up the little bit of walk through space were there too practically screaming about their private lives the entire time we were sat there. Then proceeded to stare at me nastily for no apparent reason since I haven’t vocally complained about anything to them. They were louder than the other tables next to us in the restaurant to put it in perspective. The server I wanted to give a chance despite her literally throwing our food on the table and scoffing at me when I ordered an extra side! But this easily was the worst dining experience I’ve ever had. We came up a little from homestead cause kendall normally has much better dining experiences but this was an absolute unappetizing mess! When I got my sirloin it was full of fat and every bit of the food was the complete opposite of what I’ve ever seen from longhorn. Not to mention it gave me food...

I really gave this place multiple chances. I'll tell you about the last three. Ordered steak dinner and the food was not good / took forever. Decided not to go back because previous trips have proven food to be sub par. Second to last, I got two gift certificates to LongHorn so I though oh well, it will be a free dinner. The free part was the only good part. Last time I went I only went because I was meeting a party of people that were already going regardless. I warned them that the place is not good, but plans were already in place. Long story short... I ordered a medium temp steak that came out basically burnt. A friend ordered medium well, and the steak was barely cooked and bleeding. The food took forever to come out, and there were more food mishaps I'm not listing to save time. The manager came by to ask how things were and we told her that is OK, but here are the things that were out of place. We truly just gave her info as nicely as possible without complaining. The list was so bad that she comped us half of the bill. The waitstaff isn't horrible, but the food is never good, it takes forever to come out, and the wait to sit can be brutal as well. Not worth the effort for...

So today my family and I decided to eat at Longhorns since we haven't done it in such a long time. This was the first date that me and my wife of 18yr went on. So far I can say that the management is a joke the person is in over his/her head. They have no business running a restaurant. 25 minute wait to be seated yet you have Empty Tables throughout the restaurant. Good just another example of what week management abilities or the fact that big companies are willing to promote anybody for anything. I ordered the Renegade 10 oz steak  with a sweet potato. And on my wife order Flo's filet 6 oz. The renegade 10oz was shoe leather over cook. They killed the cow 3times the Mac and cheese for my 4yo boy tasted old and stale it shows that is the mac and cheese from the box same stuff I do at home just with me it's fresh hear God knows how long it's been in the fridge.  The waiters was fine but it shows that they hate there job. The host also hate there job as one came out and stated flat out. Our waitress on the other hand must of just started this. Worst experience at a steakhouse I've ever had. And the difference in price is not that great it's about the same as going to Chris...
