I've lived in the general area for a number of years and have driven by this location hundreds of times when it was up for sale or lease, if memory serves. I always figured that a bank would move in because of the type of building it was, but I was obviously wrong. Somewhere around a year ago, this location became the Mountain West Eatery, and again, I drove by time and time again, until recently, when I read some good Yelp reviews. Recently I gave it a try for both breakfast and dinner.
As you can see, I'm an omelet morning guy. My goto omelet has always been ham and cheese (cheddar cheese, please), but this particular morning I opted for the pulled pork. The eggs were cooked to perfection, not overcooked on the outside or running on the inside. It had just the right amount of pork filling along with peppers, onions, and cheese. While the omelet was very good, I think I'll give my ham and cheese a try the next time. I guess a habit is a habit with me, and I expect it will be as good as the pulled pork or better because of my personal preference. The corn muffins were excellent, and everybody enjoyed their entrees as I did mine.
As I mentioned above, I'm a creature of habit, so when we came here for dinner, I had my goto meal, salad. While it didn't quite match the cobb salad I get at Cheesecake Factory, my all-time favorite place for a great cobb salad, it was more than satisfactory and quite good.
The service at Mountain West Eatery is excellent. The servers are helpful and very attentive. Parking is very convenient, and COVID-19 regulations are strictly adhered to. The restaurant itself is very pleasantly decorated with comfortable seating. I look forward to our next visit and highly recommend that you give this new restaurant a shot at your business.

Read moreFirst I have to say three things: 1. this place is an unassuming diamond-in-the-rough with incredible food and pricing. 2. Try the chocolate milk. 3. Their in-house hot sauce is some of the best I've EVER had.
Their location on Blue Diamond has ample parking with several access parking spaces and the restaurant is entirely wheelchair-accessible. The spacious dining area is open with tall ceilings (industrial aesthetic) and there are a lot of plants on one wall, art all around, and a huge mural on the rear wall, which all serve as a beautiful backdrop to the dining experience. The music was a tad loud for me, but I'd forgotten my noise cancelling headphones, which I normally have. It wasn't louder than most places I've been to, to be clear. The folks serving us attended to us instantly and so friendly and double checked out everything to make sure there were no mistakes.
The crowd there seemed like they were all regulars and the vibe was so welcoming and warm. My only critique of my experience was very personal to my needs and that is that the music was a tad loud for me. Not an issue for many and for what it's worth, I did not ask the folks serving us to adjust the music or anything, so please take this consideration with a grain of salt. Their vibe was joyfully accomodating from the time we got there to the time we left.
The food looked amazing and tasted even better. I can't wait to come back here. It's only a couple more dollars than going to Denny's and the food is INFINITELY better. Show your loved ones you care by taking them here for...
Read moreI came here when I was riding from Red Rock and was craving some late breakfast. As I was coming down blue diamond I noticed there was a Denny’s across the street but I also saw Mountain West eatery, the reviews looked positive so I decided to give it a try. Luckily It wasn’t busy and was seated quickly. the waitress (Mandi I believe) was very helpful in explaining the manual items and confirm that breakfast is served all day. Ended up getting two eggs with smothered potatoes and pancake instead of toast along with the peach cobbler. I opted for the Filipino sausage, which was a great choice… The meal hit the spot and everything was perfect. She explained to me that the owners were Filipina and African-American, which explained the varied menu items. I returned two weeks later and chose the omelette with pulled pork, which was good, but I found the pork to be a little bit on the dry side even though it was very tasty. I also ordered a side salad with ranch and thousand islands and it was very good. The lettuce was very cold which made everything crisp . The peach cobbler. I ordered it the second time with ice cream, which was better than when I ordered it with the whip cream the first time. Living on the east side of Henderson it’s worth the ride to go to this place… Highly...
