Unfortunately I Had To Give This Place A Star In Order To Post My Review! The Service Here Is Absolute Trash! The Waitresses And Even Managers Had Attitudes For Days! First Off I Was w/ A Party Of 16,The Staff Was Unprepared To Accommodate The Reservations That Were Made.There Wasn’t Enough Chairs To Seat The Party,Guest Had To Stand Around & Wait To Be Seated.Once Seated We Received Our Menus The Waitress Was Nowhere To Be Located Our Party Sat For A Good 15mins.We Asked Another Server Where Our Waitresses Was,His Response Was He Didn’t Know Flat Out (Didn’t Even Offer To Go Find Out) Two Other Parties Arrived After Our Party And They Received Service As Soon As They Got Seated,While My Party Was Still Being Served Baskets Of Bread And Refills On Water😂.30mins Later Drink Orders Were Placed,I Ordered A Watermelon Crush Along W/ My Appetizers. My Drink Was Amazing I Ordered Another One My Second Drink Wasn’t As Appealing As My First.I Simply Asked For Another Slice Of Watermelon To Complement My Drink Like I Received The First Time.The Waitress Was Simply Rude And Argued Me Down Over A Slice Of Watermelon she Told Me I Couldn’t Have Another Slice Of Watermelon To Go W/ My Drink Because It’s A Garnish (If I’m Not Mistaken A Garnish On A Drink Is To Make The Drink Look Appealing,Enhance Flavor And Make The Drink Taste Better).The Waitress Then Told Me To Hold On And Walked Away.The Waitresses Proceeded To Do Other Things As If My Matter Was Forgotten About She Went MIA For Another 15mins Trying To Figure Out How To Avoid The Situation Wasting Time,Behaving Like A Kindergartner Hiding Behind Walls Talking Among Other Servers Basically Trying To Avoid The Matter.I Flagged Down The Same Waiter That Rudely Told Me He Didn’t Know Where The Waitress Was In The Beginning,Asked Him What’s Going On W/ The Slice Of Watermelon To Go W/ My Drink! Disgustingly His Reply Was Your Waitress SAID NO! And Walked Away. NO AFTER The Waitress Argued Me Down She Told Me Hold On Like I Was Finna Get Another Slice Of Watermelon To Go With My Drink! They Eventually Gave Me A Even Smaller Slice Of Watermelon that I Wasn’t Satisfied With.I Requested To Cancel My Second Drink Order Because It Wasn’t To My Liking.They Had To Get The Manager The Manager Approached Me Asking What The Problem Was Acting Nonchalant,He Was Rude And Argued Me Down Of The Matter Also.After That I Canceled Everything My Appetizer And Dinner The Service Was Terrible And I Wasn’t Wasting My Money On That Level Of Service.There Was No Type Of Order Or Structure Involving The Staff Basically The Right Hand Didn’t Know What The Left Was Doing. Orders Were Being Messed Up They Didn’t Know Whose Food Went To Who The Quality Was Even Worse A Ruben Sandwich That Says Piled High On The Menu Was Just Two Pieces Of Bread😂🤦🏾‍♀️.My Order Was Still Brung Out To Me 20mins After I Said Cancel My Order 🤦🏾‍♀️.Dinner Was @ 6 Everyone Arrived @ 5:45 They Didn’t Place Our Order Until 7pm! The Other Parties That Arrived After Us Were Accommodated And Finishing Up Their Party And My Party’s Still Waiting On Drinks Trying To Figure Out Where Appetizer were That Was Placed A Hour Ago..I Couldn’t Stand The Level Of Customer Service Being Though I Have A Background In The Food Industry And Customer Service That Was The Worst Service I’ve Ever Received At A Restaurant.I Paid For My $8 Drink & Left Took My Business Down On The Corner To Maria’s They Did A Hell Of A Better Job Than Pappas And The Fries Are Bomb! RESTAURANT ALERT!!! My family and I attended Pappas Restaurant on Taylor Ave. for mother's day and had a totally disappointing experience. To start with there was a very limited menu with only the highest price dishes offered. With each meal you are allowed 2 side but had only 6 sides to choose from and 3 of them were potatoes (mashed, baked or french fries). Then you could choose from either cold slaw, asparagus or apple sauce and that was the only sides and customer could choose.....YUK! No corn, no green beans, no Cesar salad and if you ordered a steak you could not get mushrooms or onions either. To make matters worse we had reservations, we were seated promptly at 1:00 o'clock but it took over an hour to get our meal. The service all the way around was poor. We couldn't get a drink refill without asking for it and every request took an extended period of time to be filled. The portions were small and my crab cakes were not very good. Our meals were extremely over priced. The Creme of Crab soup appetizer cost $4.99 and was maybe an 8 ounce cup. The menu never said it was only a cup. Ok you got me, I should have asked. And it was not just us, the people at the table next to us were complaining to the waitress about the lack of crab meat in their over priced appetizer. The whole experience was so bad with Pappas exploiting the mother's day holiday with expensive meals and small portions that they will never get a chance at mine or my families business again. Manager Belinda was very rude,disrespectful and confrontational. We had made two reservations for my Aunt who is in a nursing home due two brain surgeries and early Alzheimer 75th Birthday. We where told that we would be near each and it wouldn’t be an issue. Upon arrival in the rain struggling to get Aunt out car into building we where told that we have been moved upstairs without any notice. Then told that second reservation would have to remain downstairs and could not join us upstairs. My Niece asked what she would have to do to make it possible for us all to be upstairs. She was told a cost would have to be paid. She informed manager that she was willing to pay fee. Manage refused and began putting hands up in my niece face. I came downstairs to see what resolution was possible. The manager was very rude and began raising her voice and using disrespectful body language. She also informed me that we could leave and not make any further reservations with this restaurant. The whole issue was she overbooked parties and did not staff accordingly which see accidentally disclosed. My family offered to order carry out and take it upstairs and was told absolutely not. We did have a waitress name Deborah who was excellent and willing to serve us all by herself and was also told no. Ultimately we all finally we able to stay upstair but once again informed not to reserve anymore...
