I found Sabores De Mi Tierra when I was in Atlanta for a professional school. While my classmates opted for fast food for lunch every day, I looked for something more healthy and more interesting, and I found it here. The staff was universally as welcoming and friendly as if I were a guest in their home, and the food was phenomenal. I had the special of the day each time, and when I asked them to just leave the rice off, since I avoid grains, they offered to replace it with avocado slices instead. How awesome! For less than my classmates spent on fast food, I was served these generous plates of meat and fresh sides deliciously prepared in recipes that were new to me. The jalapeno cream sauce on the chicken was my favorite!! Sabores De Mi Tierra has a simple little cafe type dining room, but it is a worthwhile destination: full service, quick enough to get in and out on a lunch hour, DELICIOUS, and the friendliest staff and owners who were all so pleased to have me there and so proud of their restaurant. I'll absolutely eat with them again the next time I'm out for...
Read moreDef had better. Rating was soooo high. Would love to go back and try and actual meal. Only tried appetizers due to time. But nxt time would love to try the actual meals and increase my stars to 5. Hate doing lower stars but thays more of my taste buds. My own liking. I dont like my ham croquettes toooo soft, and they were way too soft, too mushy, more soggy inside than thick. Avocado sauce was delicious. Tostones was pretty good. Empanadas were ok good. I waited and waites for server. They were both their on their phone. I tried to get their attention but they payed no mind. Trying to rush, that really annoyed me and i dont want to yell for them. Another table got up to pay. So i just did the same. Like 6 songs played before i even got up hoping she'll come to table. But anywho. Ill def try another dish nxt time for i...

I've stopped by here several times for lunch.
It's like a scene from My Big Fat Cuban Wedding. Old guys walk around and make sure that you're happy. Young folks hustle to get your stuff. Old guys check back to make sure it works. And it really does.
I had the roasted pork (lechon de peurco) with yellow rice and yucca fries this time. It's a generous portion for a little under $20. The meat is hot, tender and savory. The yucca fries are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside.
The place buzzes with a happy hustle. It's simple decor with a bar. Seems like I'm the only one speaking English which appears to make it more fun for them. You should give...
