Bubble Room Restaurant on Captiva Island Florida The bubble room on Captiva Island is final open again! I know this is a favorite for many families and filled with lots of memories. Tips for your visit: 🫧 Get their at 11am when they open or at 3pm because parking is limited. 🫧 Visit BOOPS ICECREAM PARLOR AND CAFE before or after your visit 🫧 Don't miss the gift shop across the street it's filled with lots of classic toys for kids and beautiful beach accessories for mom 🫧 Traffic on the island can be slow so give yourself an extra 15-20 mins #floridafamilyvacation #floridafamilytravel #bubbleroomcaptiva #captivaisland #sanibelisland #southwestflorida #floridarestaurant #swfl #swflkids

Hands down the most unique, eccentric, unconventional restaurant/ place I have ever been to. But I say this in the most complimenting way possible! The Bubble Room was in my radar for a while because I had seen in research so many places that say if you ever come to the Sanibel and Captiva Islands this is a must stop. Now I totally get why!! Parking can be a bit of a pain so if you have a chance to walk, bike, or grab a ride definitely do that. But really, you need to come here if you can and the kids will absolutely be blown away. I can’t even describe what this place is like but it’s literally a giant play house in a 4-year-olds dreams- rainbows of color everywhere, all kinds of old knick-knacks, posters, dolls and the like, mini train tracks running through every room, and the famous “bubble lights”, of which the Bubble Room is named after. The food I thought was okay, it was good and enjoyable but something seemed a little bit off about it, so I don’t know I can’t say I loved it necessarily. Their dessert menu is super impressive, and their most popular cake is the Orange Crunch. We tried it, but I wasn’t real in love with it- it was cold (refrigerated) and tasted like it had sat out in a display case for awhile, so it could have been better. I liked the White Christmas cake way more. So I don’t give 5 stars for the food, but just the overall experience is crazy and so unlike anything you will literally ever see and just for that fact it is a must-stop.

My husband and I placed a take-out order, and we were told to just pull up and tell the hostess that we had a to-go order when we arrived, and that they would bring it out to us. Well, we pulled up and didn't really see anyone that was definitive as the hostess. There was plenty of parking so we just parked and I went to the restaurant entrance. No problem. I stood at the entrance for a few moments, unsure of what to do, and it wasn't until I started to walk into the entrance that a young lady seated at one of the tables finally acknowledged me and asked me how many were in my party. I told her that I had a to-go order and waited for a few moments before a very friendly lady arrived with my order. It was a bit large and she insisted to help carry it to my car. She let me know that she included extra bread. Music to my ears! My husband ordered the Marilyn Mignon, and he loved it! I ordered the Prime Rib Weismuller. The meat was very good and flavorful, but it was supposed to come with a side of Au Jus. What they gave me was a tiny little condiment to-go cup that was opened and spilled all over the prime rib, which was a little disappointing. I ordered a cup of the French onion soup and I loved it! They use a quality cheese and the soup was very flavorful. We also ordered the Little Rascals which we thought were very good too. The bubble bread and sticky bread were okay, but not as good as I...

Went here for dinner on Saturday night with my husband. The online description was something that really intrigued us. It was definitely something. Kitschy, touristy and bizarre. Lots of antique toys, Christmas decor, and old Hollywood pictures and memorabilia. We were able to find parking easily and we didn’t have to wait to be seated. There were a few larger parties around us who were about as loud and obnoxious as the surroundings, but it was ok. The wait staff was pretty nice and efficient. The food is overpriced but you get a lot of it. All dinner entrees come with bubble bread (think slices of buttered cheesy bread), sticky buns and a house or Greek salad. All of the dishes have weird names so you’ll have to read all the descriptions to know what to order. I got stuffed portobello mushrooms and my husband got fresh flounder. With all the other stuff, we were pretty full by the time our entrees came, but the food was good otherwise. This place is pretty well known for their desserts which are huge three layer slices of various cakes (“the size you see is the size you will receive”). We didn’t have room to indulge in dessert, but we took a slice of the Orange Crunch cake home. All in all a pricey place, but definitely something to see if you’re into that. Granted everything is pretty expensive on the island just to put it in...
