Have come here for lunch over the years several times and I must say I consider it a great find amidst the chain restaurants and greasy bar food. Authentic fresh food and a bit on the quirky side. You cannot help but to have your attention captured as you look at the $$ stapled to every square inch of visible wall and ceiling space. Waiter was attentive and service was quick. On the down side, they do not have a liquor license so minimal options, decided on a margarita, it was decent. My dining companion reported, upon returning from the men’s room, there was no soap 😫 that alarmed me and leaves me so curious how this could ever happen..

Service was quick and courteous. Atmosphere is a bit rundown however its quirky. The place is wallpapered in dollar bills. Pretty cute. Food unfortunately was very bland and appeared to be processed ie Goya boxed yellow rice instead of homemade. The queso had no spice or pizzazz. I tried to doctor it up. The drinks are decent and margarita is very good. They were working out of a tent and food truck last year due to remodel from Hurricane. Everything was better. Idk, maybe a bad day. Def get margaritas and chips for a Lil happy hr snack.

LITERALLY BUILT WITH MONEY!! This is a fun place. Kids loved the money stapled all over the walls and it gave some fun to try to find the oldest bills or call the numbers written on them (just kidding). The food was very good. It’s a pretty simple menu that satisfies any Mexican food desire. Margaritas were good also. Service was excellent. Not always rob be expected at a simple Mexican restaurant but here it was great. Good parking at the shop parking lot next door. This is a high recommendation when in captiva.

DO NOT EAT HERE!!!! And if you do, check your bank accounts!!! I wish I would have checked Yelp before eating here, restaurant is committing fraud. My credit card was charged twice. Other reviews say the same on Yelp. Check Yelp! I checked my bank account an hour after and now I have to dispute it with my bank. Staff was extremely rude and condescending! I ordered a fajita salad with no onions, salad came with onions. The rude waiter took back the salad and picked the onions out and came back with a “new” salad and said “here no onions”. Never came back to check on us. We only got 2 cups of water and was ignored when asked for more water. I have been calling the restaurant for more than an hour and no one answers the phone. This restaurant should not be in business! Captiva is too beautiful of an island to have a restaurant with such rude and nasty service. Do not waste your time...

Until they up their game don't go here! Tacos are pre-shelled (el pasos style) out of the box, beans are canned and suck, rice was ridiculous, their fresh pico sauce i wouldn't give to my dog. Two bicyclers stopped by and wanted to sit outside as the weather was perfect, the kramer looking waiter cat was rude and told them they had to sit inside, ( so they left) the draft kegs were down (at 1pm in the afternoon). If you go here, you'll never come to this Island again. You don't need to be a Mexican food expert to know that the food here stinks. Gentlemen, take this opportunity to make your place better, anything you do will be an improvement, make your place worth coming to the island for, not escaping from. The Kramer cat was rude, hasty, mumbled a lot , we couldn't understand him and that was with no one around. If you have to go here, good luck, but only drink from...

A great case of the good, the bad, and the ugly: food is good, service is bad, and customer relations are just ugly.

If you can get your order in, the shrimp tacos are pretty good, but that's a big "if." Twice now (twice!) we've called to put in a large to-go order (let's face it, a to-go order is the easiest for a restaurant to fulfill) worth $300-$400 and we were turned away! Twice! What restaurant turns that kind of money away?

They claimed they were busy, but both times we drove to the restaurant, and there were tables open and minimal activity in the kitchen, so it was difficult to believe that "we're too busy to accommodate your order" was the excuse.

So let's recap: we were turned away twice for a $300-$400 order because "we're too busy" while displaying none of the classic signs of being busy. Twice.

Two stars for having decent food,...
