I called the shop on Saturday to order and have the order shipped to me. I was told that it would not be shipped until mon or Tuesday and would be fresh baked for me, I said that's absolutely fine. I called Tuesday to verify it had been shipped and was told that no it hadn't been but would be shortly. I received a call 2 hours later to verify my address and told it was being mailed then via 2 days shipping, which I was charged for. I called the following Friday because I hadn't received my order and was told they would get tracking number to see what was going on and call me back shortly, the call never came. I called again Saturday am... was told they had gotten busy and would again call back. I have the owners cell # and reached out... ultimately she informed me that she would NOT refund my purchase because after mailing it... it was out of her hands. The owner researched it, I ended up receiving the order on monday... 6 days after I was told it shipped. The muffins were crumbled, the owner told me NOT to eat the icing... might not be safe at this point... the cookies were hard as a rock. $90.00.... yes $90.00 and not edible. I threw it all away, I am disgusted. I have ordered many times from this bakery, spent well over 1000.00 and this is my treatment. I was told as a small business she cannot refund, I want a store credit. I want to be reimbursed for my money somehow...It's the right thing to do here!!! I cannot believe a business owner would be ok with their customer receiving week old food, telling them some of it may not even be safe to eat and not taking responsibility for the issue!!!! I am just dumbfounded!! I truly hate I won't be able to support this business anymore because of...
Read moreOn my adventures today I almost passed this little gem 💎 in Conway. As usual the wild flowers caught my attention and the gluten free signs drew me inside for further investigation. Upon entering I was prompty greeted by all the staff with inviting smiles. The ambiance was very chill and authentic. I surfed the menu a minute and then proceeded to ask many questions about ingredients and share my thoughts and visions. After sampling a couple cookies (yes, you heard that correctly FREE SAMPLES) 😆 which was great bc I like to muscle test everything I put in my temple. I chose two kinds of these perfectly plump melt in your mouth sugarfeee pnutbutter and snicker doodle cookies! My neighborhood bakery is awemazing! They even invited me to do an open table on Saturday with my bliss ball offerings! Not just a quality heart centered business in town with gluten-free options but an actual co-op minded establishment willing to share space with a conscious creative being like me who is just starting out with a goal to make gut friendly food fun! If your interested in what a bliss ball is all about come try Vimalas Vittles at the bluebarnbakery on Saturdays from 9-12...
Read moreI had fasting labs this morning near BBB and thought I'd drop by there afterwards for something to break my fast. I had never been, so I announced that immediately when coming in the back door. That door has a welcome , come in sign. There was minimum product, no seating, no drinks. I said I was seeking food, possibly protein if they had that, and caffeine. The man said he had water as we both eyed a Keurig. He showed me a turkey, bacon, ranch jalapeno croissant and mentioned it would have to be heated (implication somewhere else). I asked the price, mostly to be polite,. S12.99. No thanks. I decided I would get a pastry and be on my way. To his credit, he explained he is a fill in. BUT, he never indicated there was an actual whole other side through the door around the building , a place which likely offered both protein and caffeine. I told him I'd take a cinnamon roll and be on my way to find a drive thru for coke and sandwich. I came home and brewed a cup and scrambled an egg which were both significantly better than my $7...
