On our first visit to this shoppe several months ago, we were very pleased with the store and the friendly staff. Since we have several large fresh water aquariums and fancy guppies being our favorites we were quite thrilled to see they had fancy guppies of a quality seldom found in pet stores. Very attractive red mosaic tailed variety. We purchased 5 males and 8 females for approximately $67, a very reasonable price at only around 1/4 of what you would pay to purchase guppies of this quality via the internet. They, like most stores that sell tropical fish have a 2 week health guarantee for exchange or credit. We did have 2 female casualties during those 2 weeks (not unusual) and returned them for credit. We were told at that time that they would be getting in a large order of another variety of fancy guppies within a week and to stop back then. We did stop back of course and the new batch were awesome, near show quality, so we purchased around $70 worth of them. We carefully acclimate new fish very slowly and in 40 years of keeping fish have never had any problems with keeping fish alive so we quite surprised when this new batch of fancy guppies began dying within just a few days. I had saved some of the water that we received the fish in out of the store tank so I tested it and WHOA ! all 4 major test areas were nearly off the charts for in the danger zone ! I took pictures of the test results and gave them to the staff member who helped us with the credit. He told me that they knew their water was really bad now as they had put a bunch of chemicals in the water to kill the needle grass and it had ruined the water but that that they were correcting it. When they received their next shipment of fancy guppies, more beauties, we were assured their water had been corrected. Tested it when we got home, nope still terrible ! So those fish all died too. We were told that they still had quite a few fish left and we could just get an exchange instead of credit if we wanted to. We went back and looked and they had more dead fish in their tank than live ones so took credit again and said we'd wait a few more weeks until they really did have their water quality corrected. OK, so third times charm right, wrong ! Assured again by staff that their water had been corrected before they got another batch of fancy guppies in last week we got another group of 14 fish. Tested the water when we got home and still all tests in the KILL ZONE ! Took the dead fish back today as we had to be out for a short time picking a med refill anyway. The lady that helped us again was reluctant to give us any credit this time and called her boss to see what to do. He told her to give us credit this time but never again and basically implied that it must be our fault the fish are all dying as no else or the store was having any problems with fish dying, pretty much contrary to their earlier tank of dead fish. Since they require a water sample from our tank every time dead fish are returned they knew we had no water problems whatsoever and with the pictures I provided of their water tests they also knew their water was pretty much liquid poison, so that implication was a bit irritating. So anyway, this long drawn out review is mainly because we are saddened that we thought we had found a place that to buy our favorite fish locally at fair prices from a business that took care of their live product only to have it turn out to be a disappointment. By the way, our first batch of the red mosaic tailed guppies from this shoppe several months ago are all doing fine,...
Read moreI’m not one to leave feedback in writing, I believe word of mouth is the best advertisement, it speaks volume. I live in Morrilton but love the Conway area. I just happen to drive by and see this shop that looked like a pet shoppe, I was looking for a place that did grooming ... A very close friend has always groomed our precious fuuurrr baby, sadly she moved out of state and so I thought what the heck I will go check this place out and see if they have grooming and to my surprise they did, so the clean and picky person that I am, I looked the grooming place over with a fine tooth comb, yes I did. Spoke with the most nicest people, they were all about there customers and it showed. There grooming area is all stainless steel and so CLEAN, no bad smells, no hair all over the place, there fuuurr baby cages were the nice ones, no cheap ones, plus they were CLEAN. Another thing that’s very, very important to me was the fact that they used high dollar products on the fuuurr babies, not no dawn dishwashing liquid that I have seen other shops use. So after leaving the place a few days later I made an appointment to get our most precious jewel 💎 groomed. Let me just say, hands down the safest and cleanest environment this side of the mason dixon line. Our little jewel never looked or smelled so good and not from sprays they sprayed it with, it was from this place doing the job they advertise they do. The girls that do the grooming to me are the best, they actually groomed our little guy better than my best friend, sorry just bein honest. I truly pray this little grooming shoppe stays around, if not than I will most likely have to take grooming classes, because I don’t trust no one with this little boy. I have checked out other shops and got feedback from real people, not people that were friends with the shop owner and got the truth. I worried and lost many nights of sleep figuring out what was I going to do, our little guy won’t go without being groomed, I of course give him his baths but when it comes to cutting his hair and getting his nails done that’s not for me, and taking classes I’m sure would take me awhile. So so blessed I saw this place and went in to check it out. Again, very clean and safe .... Ou r little guy acted like he had been to this place many times when I picked him up the very first visit, that speaks volumes my friend. Plus Bonus, like Big Bonus, they don’t take a house full of fuuurr babies all at one. They only take a few. The young lady that groomed our little guy took her time with him. I told her no hurry, took her 2 hours. I’m so happy and blessed with this place. Thank y’all so, so much. Much love and success on this little business. 🐶🐾🐕😊💗 Wish I could post...
Read moreWanted to adopt a cat and while asking the lady questions she went on about how it was $45, had her shots, was spayed, and would come with a little bit of litter and food or treats so I went to do the rest of my running before coming to adopt her. Asked the lady if they had anything for us to carry her in and was told yes, they had boxes they put the cats in. Well, we get done with the paperwork and I'm told they ran out of boxes (how convenient) and I said that would be fine, she can just ride in the car and they said no, she's required to be contained to leave the pet store so I would have to buy a carrier or get one from home (I live 45 minutes away) I told them no, I guess I wont be adopting the cat today and magically they managed to find a box for her. Go figure. I'm finishing up the paperwork and my mom asks the lady again if the cat will come with some stuff for her and she said "yeah, she should come with a few things" but seemed hesitant like she didn't expect us to ask about it. It comes time to pay and that's when they let us know its cash or check only. Employees here should be better trained because at no point did they say it was cash only, and if they would have I would have known to bring cash back with me. On top of that, they blatantly lied about not having a box in order to try and get me to buy a carrier from the store. You would think a pet shop trying to adopt out cats would be a little better about adopting out the cats and not just trying to steal from you. Ended up leaving without my baby, and while I regret it I fully think the people working here did it on purpose. At any point they could have let us know any of these things BEFORE I filled out all of the paperwork and was holding the cat. Shame on y'all. I have never been more upset and disappointed than having to turn away from such a sweet cat due to...
