Chen's Restaurant — Restaurant in Conway

We read the reviews, and decided to take a gamble. Bad decision. Where do I start?

TOO MUCH BATTER how's that : )

The sweet n sour chicken was 70/30 batter to chicken.

We ordered $40+ worth of food and got nothing extra. Both Fu Hua and Cheng's throw in a 2 liter of soda or some fried donuts.

Combination plate of GT chicken was very small in comparison to both Fu Hua and Cheng's. Pork fried rice looked and tasted like yellow rice with pieces of pork, carrots, and peas in it. Reminded me of chinese food you would get in a mall.

The wonton strips you get with your soup were over fried, and tasted like burnt cardboard. Disgusting! I threw it away immediately (both packages!).

The fried dumplings were decent, but too much dough.

I ordered Hot and Sour Soup based on the review of eadonelson...I'm saving it for tomorrow and I hope its good.

The GT Chicken was above average.

The Crab Rangoons were the best thing so far.

Also the place is pick-up only.

I probably will not eat food from here ever again. I definitely do not recommend this place, even if you are needing the cheapest chinese possible!

Fu Hua or Cheng's...Cheng's is more expensive, but...

I'm new to this area and am trying out new Chinese restaurants in the area. I visited Chen's Restaurant on 03/29/2024 and was very excited about it because I absolutely love Chinese food. ❤️ I get my food home and is ready to eat. I try the combination plate of Orange chicken and pork fried rice and it's not bad, but the $5.25 Chinese donuts were horrible!!!! I ate about 3 when I realized that they weren't done! There was dough in the middle. I was wondering how I just walked in looked at the menu and gave her my order...4 minutes later she said my food was ready? How? I had literally just ordered it. I paid $18.68 for food that was trash! The Orange chicken was super hard after the first few bites and the pork fried rice was old. But my basically RAW dessert made me sick to my stomach. I've been throwing up ever since. I'm posting this at 3:19 a.m. on the 30th because I just now stopped getting sick. Now my body is shaking and I'm sweating every where. If this keeps up I will have to go to the E.R. Needless to say that I WILL NEVER EAT AT CHEN'S...

ZERO STARS!!!! They have no respect for Hispanics!! The girl they have working at the register looks down on Puerto Ricans ALL OF THE TIME!! Because of her disrespect for me, my son and all Hispanics that I have witnessed with my own eyes I WILL NEVER give them my business ANYMORE!! HISPANICS have to let them know that we are many that bring 95% of there business to them; SHOW RESPECT to our people or we take our money someplace else!!!!!!!! And while I'm making this statement they should show even more respect to us by UPGRADING that damn place and put new floors, new bathroom, new menu, tables with matching chairs...it all looks NASTY!!!! They don't fix anything because they don't care about investing some of the thousands they make from us to make it NEW! If they catered to White Americans I'm sure they would show decency to them. HIPANICS, let them know about this and don't stay quiet about these important issues!!! Let them know of this...
